Amongst car enthusiasts and surfers, there’s a common bond. One that involves the upper echelon, financially speaking, in which fans become collectors. And Porsche has blended those two worlds with the drop of a new surfboard, inspired by a classic car.

In a new collab, Almond Surfboards and Porsche have unveiled a surfboard reimagining of the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 from 1972, and sheesh, this stick is sleek. As for the specs, it comes in at 6’, equipped with a singlefin setup, and a swallowtail design. In addition to a clothing line to accompany the board, it comes in three colorways: red, green, and blue.

Adding to the collector’s item factor of the board, only 72 of ‘em will be made. And the price tag? $3,000. A little more than your average sled off the racks.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Almond Surfboards for the second year in a row, this time celebrating one of the most celebrated 911 models of all time,” said Karsten von Engeln, President & CEO, Porsche Design of America, Inc. “Together with the team at Almond, we’ve created a distinctive, high-performance surfboard that not only will appeal to surfing enthusiasts and Porsche fans, but also design aficionados alike. It looks just as good in the water, as it does on the roof of a Porsche, or on the wall in your home.”

Speaking to the board itself, and the influence from the classic sportscar, Dave Allee, Founder and Owner of Almond Surfboards, said: “For this new collection, we chose to shape a 6’ winged swallowtail design that draws inspiration from both the iconic 911Carrera RS 2.7, renowned for its powerful performance and unique silhouette, and the surfboard designs of the early 1970s—the same era that this 1972 Porsche celebrates, with their blend of classic lines and cutting-edge performance.”

Only question...Is it a wall-hanger, or are you paddling this puppy out?
