Sharks make for good TV. Look at Shark Week, the long-running summertime spectacle on Discovery Channel, which has reigned supreme in the cultural zeitgeist, becoming a household phenomenon. The programming even made for a memorable gag in the endlessly quotable 2008 film Step Brothers.

Now, Netflix appears to be getting the hint. They’ve got a new series coming out called All the Sharks – the show pits teams of shark experts against one another to document, and swim with, some of the rarest and most dangerous ocean predators on the planet. And to make things even more interesting, it blends an element of reality TV, too, with contestants competing for $50,000.

Check out the trailer for All the Sharks below:

Per Netflix: “A first of its kind competition series where four teams of shark FINatics travel the world trying to find and photograph every shark imaginable in hopes of claiming the $50,000 prize.”

(The prize money will go to a charity of the winners’ choice.)

Inside the trailer, the crews travel far and wide in their search – including the Maldives, the Galapagos, Bahamas, South Africa, Japan, and Australia. Their goal? Take pictures with as many sharks as possible. Some have even dubbed the premise as, “Pokémon Go, but with sharks.” Each photograph will earn them points. And, “the rarer the shark, the more points you earn.”

Just recently, Netflix dropped a first look at another shark-related piece of content. The documentary Shark Whisperer follows the controversial shark enthusiast – and shark…influencer – Ocean Ramsey as she spreads awareness about shark conservation through diving with them, sparking online debate as to her practices and motivations. A portion of the log line for that one reads:

“To her supporters, she’s a fearless advocate giving a voice to misunderstood predators. To her critics, her mission blurs the line between saving the planet and seeking the spotlight.”

It’s gonna be a sharky summer on streaming; All the Sharks drops on July 4th.
