Video: Here's the 10 Best Frigid Surf Spots in the World

Planning a surf trip makes most people think of warm water, palm trees, and freedom from wetsuits.

But there's a lot of epic surf spots all over the world for those willing to brave below-zero temps and haul a heavy wetsuit around.

In the video below, YouTuber Dan Harmon shares a list of the world's best cold-weather surf spots, so you can go freeze your ass off in your finest 6MM.

Harmon shared his latest video above and captioned it:

"Hey guys! Here are some top cold-water surf destinations to add to your bucket list.

"If you don’t mind single-digit temps, pulling on a wet 6mm, and some bone-numbing duck dives, these are some places to score epic waves!!"

Opening the vlog, Harmon says:

"What we don't tend to think about when it comes to our next surf trip is getting changed in cold, wind-swept car parks, pulling on five millimeters of rubber.

"But if you want to make the most of fewer crowds and tap into unexplored coastline, heading to some of the colder fringes of the world is what you gotta do to get that."

Southern Chile: "Far from the colest on the list." Winter water temp: 14.8C.
Norway: "Wicked" cold water surf destination. Winter water temp: 4.7C.
South Island, New Zealand: "Gets a lot of swell." Winter water temp: 10.1C.
