When Nathan Fletcher and Mason Ho Talk, We Listen

From big waves to big airs to big interviews, is there anything Nate Fletcher can’t do?

While Fletcher is new to the podcast world, you’d never know it. His first subject on his “Live and Direct” podcast was Kelly Slater, and over the course of 5 episodes the two covered everything from aliens to ancient civilizations. It’s one of the most wide ranging conversations we’ve ever heard with the GOAT. Credit Fletcher for disarming the 11-time champ and giving him a platform to feel comfortable and speak from the heart.

Fletcher’s second subject is Mason Ho. As you might imagine, Ho doesn’t need any disarming. Just wind him up and watch, err listen, to him go.

Still, being a good friend and mentor of Ho’s, Fletcher hits all the right notes with this interview. He knows when to prod and when to pull back. The result is another entertaining conversation between two of the most interesting minds in surfing. In this particular episode, Ho talks about his recent engagement, starting a family (one day), surfing big Waimea, traveling with the mysterious Tom Curren, and more.
