The crossover of stars continues as ‘Challengers’ main lead, Zendaya makes waves in the tennis world. Over the past month, the American actress and model has been traveling to promote her new movie centered around tennis.

In one of her first on-court promotions, the American was seen during Iga Swiatek’s match at the Indian Wells. After the Polish ace won her match, there was a brief interaction between the two. It was a small yet enjoyable moment, and afterward, Swiatek praised Zendaya, her favorite actor.

This was not the last time that Swiatek heard of Zendaya. Recently, she had the privilege of asking Zendaya a couple of questions. During another one of the interviews for Challengers, the American had to answer Swiatek’s question.

Swiatek asked Zendaya about the similarities between being an official athlete and an actress. Zendaya was already impressed by Swiatek’s voice before responding, saying, “This is so cool.”

Nevertheless, Zendaya soon provided a brilliant answer for Swiatek. The American actress highlighted a major similarity between athletes and actresses, emphasizing that both professions involve individuals striving to perform their best on significant occasions, despite their differences.

But when I watch her, I can’t imagine what is must be like to be on that court and have all those people watching you, having to perform at a high level, and keeping your composure. Of course, we are similar in different worlds.  said Zendaya in an interview with Eurosport

Zendaya’s forehand in the movie Challengers got a huge thumbs-up from Brad Gilbert

Zendaya, star of Euphoria, recently released her new movie “Challengers,” which follows the story of a tennis pro named Tashi who dedicates herself to training her husband to transition from a mediocre player to a professional. To help him break out of his losing streak, Tashi encourages her husband to compete in a challenger’s tournament.

Zendaya had to undergo tennis training for her role in the movie, working with one of the best coaches available, Brad Gilbert. With Gilbert’s assistance, the American actress honed her basic tennis skills. Zendaya’s performance in the movie was impressive, earning praise from the coach himself when the movie’s trailer was released.

Summer is officially here! So proud to see all the hard work pay off ⁦Zendaya⁩ way to crack the fearhand. Brad Gilbert had tweeted last year

Gilbert had worked with Zendaya for about three months. Even the director Luca Guadagnino was proud of his actors for putting in a lot of work in trying to make the movie run.
