Aryna Sabalenka has added another milestone to her dominant run, matching a feat last achieved by Serena Williams nearly a decade ago.
The world number one continues to set the pace on the WTA Tour with relentless consistency across the biggest hard-court events.
Her latest victory reinforced both her form and her status as a historical tennis star.
It also places her alongside one of the sport’s most iconic names ever.
Sabalenka became the first woman since 2016 to reach four consecutive Sunshine Double semi-finals, according to The Tennis Letter. The last one was Williams.
The Belarusian phenom secured the achievement with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Hailey Baptiste last Thursday, extending her current winning streak to 10 matches.
She now prepares to face Elena Rybakina in the Miami Open semi-finals.
The meeting brings together the world’s number one and number two.
Rybakina has often challenged Sabalenka, despite trailing 9-7 in their 16 previous encounters.
Should Sabalenka advance, she will meet either Coco Gauff or Karolina Muchova in the final.
Gauff enters as the world number four and will have strong home support, while Muchova, ranked 13, arrives in excellent form after winning the Qatar Open last month.
Both players present distinct challenges for Sabalenka if she reaches the final, but none of them are expected to pose a bigger challenge than Rybakina.
