ATP Masters 1000 Cincinnati 1/64-Finals

Baez – Goffin: Time TBA
H2H: 0-1

Sebastian Baez has lost four of his last five matches. His last match was in Kitzbühel on clay, where he lost his opening match to Hanfmann. His last hard-court match was in March in Miami, when he lost to Bublik in the opening round in straight sets. So far this season, the Argentine has played four hard-court matches and lost all of them.

David Goffin has lost four of his last five matches. Last week in Toronto, Goffin lost to McDonald in the opening round in straight sets. He was the finalist here in 2019. In his previous appearance in 2022, he lost against Giron in the opening round in straight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Goffin is the favourite in this matchup, and we agree. He is a better hard-court player than Baez and has already succeeded in Cincinnati. Baez is in terrible form and has not secured a single hard-court win this season.

That being said, Goffin winning is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: David Goffin winning @1.50 @bet365

Bellucci – Dzumhur: Time TBA
H2H: 1-1

Mattia Bellucci has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Toronto, Bellucci retired mid-match against Gaston in the opening round due to cramps. It is nothing serious, so he will be fit for the opening round here in Cincinnati.

Damir Dzumhur has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Toronto, the Bosnian lost to Comesana in the opening round in straight sets. This will be his fourth appearance in Cincinnati. He has never made it past the opening round.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, this will be an almost 50-50 matchup, but we disagree. Bellucci is a solid hard-court player and has had significant wins on hard courts this season. On the other hand, Dzumhur played solidly at the Challenger Tour level. Other than that, he struggled on hard courts at the highest level.

That being said, Bellucci winning is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Mattia Bellucci winning @1.73 @bet365

Coric – O’Connell: Time TBA
H2H: first meeting

Borna Coric has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Toronto, Gigante upset him in the opening round in three tight sets. So far this season, Coric has performed well at the Challenger Tour level on hard courts. However, he has yet to show his best tennis at the highest level.

Christopher O’Connell has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Toronto, the Australian retired from his third-round clash against de Minaur.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Coric is the slight favourite in this matchup, and we agree. We expect him to dominate on the backhand side against O’Connell. The Australian will probably not be 100%. We expect Coric to be a better player and win.

That being said, Coric winning is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Borna Coric winning @1.57 @bet365
