The final ATP Masters tournament of the season is upon us and has already delivered a day of high-octane indoor tennis in Paris. On Day 2, the seeded players return to action, and the atmosphere at a new venue is expected to heat up even more. As always, we here at LWOT will be offering our predictions for every match. Who do you think will come out on top on Day 2 of the Rolex Paris Masters?

ATP Paris Day 2 Predictions

Valentin Vacherot vs Jiri Lehecka

Head-to-head: First meeting

Shanghai hero Valentin Vacherot returns to another big tournament with a well-deserved wildcard and the expected backing of the local crowd. Jiri Lehecka, meanwhile, has had a strange two months since the US Open, playing just four ATP tour matches and going 2–2. The Vacherot serve against the Lehecka return is a pattern that clearly favors the Monegasque. And Vacherot’s recent performances have been impressive enough for me to back him for another big win against an opponent seemingly low on confidence.
Prediction: Vacherot in 3

Corentin Moutet vs Reilly Opelka

Head-to-head: Moutet 1–1 Opelka

A baseliner who thrives on athleticism and variety faces one of the biggest servers in the game. This match will likely come down to who finds their rhythm first. With Reilly Opelka, every match feels like a coin toss, but Corentin Moutet’s ability to extend rallies and neutralize big serves with his chip returns could make the difference here. Those defensive skills should tilt the match in his favor.
Prediction: Moutet in 3

Learner Tien vs Andrey Rublev

Head-to-head: Tien 1–1 Rublev

This will be their third meeting of the season. Learner Tien has been outstanding in 2025, emerging as the second-best teenager on tour behind Joao Fonseca. Andrey Rublev enjoyed a strong stretch between Wimbledon and the US Open but has since suffered one of his roughest patches, losing four of his last five matches. With Rublev struggling for confidence and Tien still pushing for a seeded spot at the Australian Open, the momentum seems to favor the young American.
Prediction: Tien in 3

Jaume Munar vs Daniil Medvedev

Head-to-head: Munar leads 1–0

Daniil Medvedev has shown great resilience recently, completely overhauling his coaching team and ending a two-year title drought. Jaume Munar, on the other hand, is having one of his best-ever hard-court seasons and played solid enough tennis in Basel to boost his indoor confidence. When they met earlier this year, Munar won comfortably. This one should be much tighter, but Medvedev might once again have to wait for his first Rolex Paris Masters victory since reaching the final in 2021.
Prediction: Munar in 3
