Lorenzo Musetti announced on social media that he will have his second child with his girlfriend Veronica Confalonieri. The Italian, recent semifinalist at the Rome Open, is enjoying a great moment on the Tour and now shares great news on a personal level.

Musetti has been one of the best in the clay swing, reaching a career-high ranking of world No. 8 this week, although he is already guaranteed to move up another spot next Monday after Casper Ruud decided not to compete this week, losing the points from his 2024 Geneva Open title.

Musetti participated in all three clay-court Masters 1000 events, being the big surprise in the final stages after reaching the final in Monte-Carlo and the semifinals in the Madrid Open and Rome Open, achieving a 13-3 record in the European clay swing.

The Italian has now announced that he and his girlfriend are expecting their second child. In March 2024, they announced the birth of their first child, Ludovico. The Italian received congratulations from several of his colleagues, including Jasmine Paolini, Sara Errani, Flavia Pennetta, Martina Trevisan, Flavio Cobolli, Caroline Garcia, among others.

Musetti is out of competition this week as he prepares for his next appearance at the French Open, where he hopes to corroborate his performance from the last month, appearing as one of the names that could complicate things for the main favorites Carlos Alcaraz or Jannik Sinner.
