Billie Jean King felt Serena Williams would not come back from retirement due to a major reason. The Tennis legend felt the chances of Serena becoming the WTA No.1 again would be slim. However, she was all up for watching the American Tennis legend back in action if she would love to.

In one of her tweets last month, Serena confirmed that she has no plans to return from retirement. However, in another tweet, a cryptic message led to fans thinking if there are possibilities. Jean King felt Serena could just return for the love of the game.

"I think she wants to try to play again. But I think she’s also very bright and very smart that she knows she’s not going to be No 1 again. But if you love to play, why not? I mean, she’s all set in life. She doesn’t need it financially, and she enjoys it. I would love to see her (Back in action)," Billie Jean King said to Sky Sports.

She recalled meeting the Williams sisters and their father in California back in the 1980s. The Tennis legend claimed that it was an amazing day, something which she would never forget. Jean King claimed she recognized their talent right when they were young.

"I met her when she was six and [sister] Venus was seven at a tennis clinic we gave in Long Beach, California. They came with their dad Richard. It was an amazing day. I’ll never forget it. We had the kids hit back and forth from the audience. Because they’re so exceptional. You could see right away they’re exceptional," she added.
