'Cannot expect him to win every Grand Slam,' Novak Djokovic’s performance receives worrying speculations from former Serbian ATP icon

Novak Djokovic, the Serbian star, has all eyes on him after a heartbreaking loss at the Australian Open. Having entered the tournament as the defending champion, the Serbian easily cruised ahead before stumbling across the Italian Jannik Sinner.

Although the stats were leaning towards the 24-time Grand Slam title champion, Sinner managed to pull off a perfect victory.

For the uninitiated, Djokovic had never lost a Grand Slam semi-final before, but this time, things were different as he was up against a youngster who had beaten him twice in a span of three months.

The same repeated in the match as Djokovic couldn’t figure out his opponent’s gameplay and even admitted to playing one of the worst tennis in a Slam. As expected, the whole world was left in shock after the major upset. Nole’s compatriot Viktor Troicki was asked if Djokovic’s loss to Sinner in Malaga played a role in his loss in Australia.

I don't believe it's that much for him... Sinner was freer in that match in Australia because he won it the last time in Malaga and he pulled off that duel incredibly. I should say, he was more relieved. But Nole was not, let's say, convincing from the beginning of the tournament, somehow we haven't seen his sharpness since the start of the season. I think he can do much better than that and he himself is aware of it. Of course, he is a man and not a machine, we cannot always expect him to win every Grand Slam. Said Troicki via Sportal

Finding faults in Djokovic’s form throughout the tournament, Troicki also revealed that he had noticed a lack of sharpness in Djokovic and was sure that he could do much better. Furthermore, the Serbian icon also stated that Nole is not a machine and won’t be able to win every Slam.

Novak Djokovic likely to miss the qualifiers of the Davis Cup revealed his compatriot Viktor Troicki

After the Australian Open, attention is turned towards the tournaments, building up to the many ATP 1000 tournaments and finally the prestigious Roland Garros

But before this comes the Davis Cup qualifiers where 24 teams play against each other for a spot in the top 12.

With Serbia in the mix, fans await to witness Novak Djokovic back in action for his country. However, his compatriot Viktor Troicki brings with him some bad news. Not sure about Djokovic’s participation, the former Serbian ATP icon reckons that the World No. 1 is in Spain with his family and is likely to miss the qualifying stages.

After qualifying last year, team Serbia was on a roll before their clash against the dominant Italy. It was the semi-finals of the Davis Cup, and Djokovic had three match points against Jannik Sinner. Unable to close the match, Sinner pulled out another comeback to beat Djokovic and team Serbia. Italy went on to win the Davis Cup, leaving Serbia wounded.
