Carlos Alcaraz’s rise shows no signs of slowing down. After a season where he bagged not one but two Grand Slam titles—most recently dismantling rival Jannik Sinner in the U.S. Open final the 21-year-old Spaniard has firmly cemented himself as the face of tennis. With that kind of dominance on court, it’s no surprise that the off-court opportunities keep rolling in too.
Sponsorships and brand deals have become second nature for Alcaraz, but fresh off his latest triumph, he’s taken things a step further by renewing his partnership with a global powerhouse—one that speaks volumes about just how big his star power has become.
The global giant here is none other than German car maker, BMW. The company has been involved in tennis since the late 1980s, and now it’s doubling down on that commitment by extending its partnership with current world No. 1, Carlos Alcaraz. The long-term deal underscores BMW’s belief in tennis as a platform to connect with fans and customers alike.
“We see tennis as a cornerstone of our sponsorship strategy,” said Uwe Dreher, BMW Europe’s Vice President of Marketing. “Working with Carlos is a perfect fit—his drive, passion, and pursuit of greatness reflect what our brand is all about. Together, we’re aiming to create lasting moments that go beyond the court.”
Alcaraz, fresh off his U.S. Open triumph and a return to the top of the ATP rankings, couldn’t agree more. “Being part of the BMW family means a lot to me,” he said. “They’ve backed me since before my first Slam, and their values—innovation, honesty, joy, excellence—line up with my own. I’m excited for what’s ahead.”
Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner gave us another classic in the U.S. Open final, their third straight showdown on a Grand Slam stage. But fans won’t have to wait long to see the world’s top two back in action.
Alcaraz is set to return this weekend at the Laver Cup in San Francisco, where he’ll represent Team Europe for the second time. Last year, he played a key role in their victory with wins over Ben Shelton and Taylor Fritz. From there, the new World No. 1 heads to Tokyo for his debut at the Japan Open, an ATP 500 event.
Sinner’s schedule takes him to Beijing that same week for the China Open, where he’s enjoyed success before, lifting the trophy in 2023 and reaching the final a year later. After that, the pair will reunite in Shanghai at the season’s penultimate Masters 1000, with the year-end No. 1 still on the line.
