The Wimbledon 2025 women’s singles final ended in just 57 minutes, but its impact will be remembered for much longer. Poland’s Iga Swiatek delivered one of the most dominant performances in Grand Slam history, defeating American Amanda Anisimova 6-0, 6-0 to win her first Wimbledon title and sixth major overall. It was only the third time a women’s major final ended in a double bagel and the first time it happened at Wimbledon since 1911.

The 24-year-old, now becomes the only active women’s player to have won a major on all three surfaces: clay, hard, and grass. Her win was so one-sided that she only needed 10 winners to clinch the match, with Anisimova making 28 unforced errors.

Anisimova, playing her first Grand Slam final after a long comeback journey, had no answers on the day but will still break into the top 10 next week for the first time in her career.

After the match, Swiatek had a memorable moment off the court, meeting FRIENDS star Courtney Cox. Swiatek, a known fan of the iconic sitcom, was visibly emotional and thrilled. The moment quickly went viral online, and fans couldn’t stop talking about it.

Reactions poured in on social media, especially on X .

One fan wrote, “Wow Monica, Rare L for you…”

Another joked, "Must have come to visit Emily."

"Of course Monica wanted a perfect scoreline," a fan wrote.

And one summed it up perfectly: “What kind of crossover is this love it though.”

"Monica clears Rachel," another fan commented.

"Monica would beat iga," one said.

Swiatek has the rest of the day to enjoy, with more bright future ahead.
