Daria Kasatkina gets engaged to long-time girlfriend Natalia Zabiiako

Daria Kasatkina continues what has been a big year for the now Aussie as she has got engaged to long-time girlfriend Natalia Zabiiako.

Kasatkina lost in the fourth round last week at the French Open to close friend Mirra Andreeva and is now in London ahead of playing Queen's next week. She faces Sonay Kartal with the draw completed earlier today.

But there is more good news for Kasatkina who announced to mark Pride Month that her and Zabiiako have got engaged. In 2022, Kasatkina came out as lesbian after previous comments which seemed to point towards being bisexual the year before.

She came out stating in an interview that she was in a relationship with figure skater Natalia Zabiiako. It became public after they shared pictures of each other on Instagram.

But those who follow Kasatkina will know Zabiiako as one half of their YouTube channel 'What the Vlog' which has seen Dasha showcase a different side to the tennis tour. This sees interviews with the top names including Andreeva as well as a behind the scenes look previously only really reserved perhaps for the Netflix series which was ill-fated.

The pair have found it tough. Kasatkina finally found happiness earlier in the year by switching nationalities to Australia. She has long condemned the invasion of Ukraine and called for an end to the war. As a result of her sexuality, she has also not return to Russia since war broke out and switched to represent Australia earlier this season.

Now her big year continues and the good news continues to flow. Congratulations to Daria and Natalia on their engagement.
