The Entry List has been confirmed for Libema Open 's-Hertogenbosch which will take place between June 9-15 2025 and is a WTA 250 tournament to start the road towards Wimbledon.
It is always a tournament heavily dominated and attended by Russian players as has been the case with the Entry List too this time. Liudmila Samsonova won the title last year defeating Bianca Andreescu in the final 4-6, 6-3, 7-5.
But prior to that Ekaterina Alexandrova won it twice including the year when Russian and Belarusian stars were banned from Wimbledon. Both will return to head up this Entry List alongside Elise Mertens, Magda Linette as well as Olga Danilovic and Anastasia Potapova.
Danielle Collins due to her lower ranking does not head up the seeds but technically in terms of star power joins the two main Russian stars. It is a tournament though that has been widely affected by Queen's.
The WTA 500 in London has a stellar field assembled by Laura Robson including Jessica Pegula, Madison Keys, Naomi Osaka and Emma Raducanu to. name but a few. This means that in this case Libema Open 's-Hertogenbosch which is on at the same time as the men suffers in regards to the WTA side.
That could soon change as big names could still enter depending on Roland Garros progress. But unlike the men's event which has Stuttgart as its only competition, the lure of London has proven to be a blow for this event.
Others involved include Elina Avanesyan, Dayana Yastremska, Lulu Sun, Veronika Kudermetova and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. But the road to Wimbledon does begin here.
