The Rome Open 2025 starts this week with the long-awaited return of Jannik Sinner. The Italian has already served his doping ban. He has not played since the Australian Open, and at the Foro Italico he will be looking to return in style, with the title of champion.
To do so, Sinner will face a relatively easy draw, although with the potential misleading match against Alexander Davidovich in the 3rd round. But under normal conditions, the world No. 1 should not have his qualification complicated, at least, until the quarterfinals.
There, Jannik Sinner should face Casper Ruud, who comes from winning the first major title of his career at the Mutua Madrid Open 2025. Luckily for him, he would not meet Carlos Alcaraz until a hypothetical final of the tournament.
