'Let go sometimes,' Iga Swiatek learns to be more self-aware and stay in the positive bubble as she aims for higher success
Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Iga Swiatek has been the one to watch out for this whole year. Despite starting on a bad note, the 22-year-old managed to get her season back on track. She soon won a couple of tournaments on the hard court before heading onto the clay courts.

On clay, she was on another level, winning two Masters tournaments in a row. She beat Aryna Sabalenka to the punch and won two finals against her in Madrid and Rome, respectively. Tennis critics often wonder what is it that changed in the Pole to bring about a major change after the Australian Open.

One video from her brand had all the answers. The video was a documentary of Swiatek’s key learning so far in the year. In one part, she revealed that she is slowly improving.

I tend to be that person who likes to be in her bubble and being very focused. That’s why I am trying to get better and be more aware of what I am like and let go sometimes. said Iga Swiatek in the video with On

As a person who likes to be in her bubble, Swiatek is often stuck in tough situations where all she has to do is let go.

Iga Swiatek gets praised by her rival Caroline Garcia, who compares her to Novak Djokovic

French pro Caroline Garcia showered praise on her rival Iga Swiatek, as she compared her to a robot. She also drew parallels between the Pole’s and Novak Djokovic’s game. Swiatek has a unique set of shots that make it difficult for any player to predict shots against her.

Garcia also said that playing Swiatek is like playing against a wall because it is tough to breach her defenses. She also said that Swiatek covers a wide amount of ground like Novak Djokovic. Tennis enthusiasts also know the Serbian’s coverage on the court and have called the Serbian a wall.

Not in the bad sense of the word, but you have a bit of a robot in front with a bit of emotion. One of the first who really brought all the mental preparation, psychologist, etc...Big coverage of the ground quite similar to Djokovic bit and you have the impression that you don't have a weak point, you don't have too many openings. You have a bit of a wall. You do something which is good but you're happy with it and it's true that it's still quite impressive. said Caroline Garcia via Zack en Roue Libre podcast

Now, Swiatek will give it her all at the upcoming French Open. She enters the tournament high on form and will seem to complete the triple crown. After winning Madrid and Rome, only one tournament in front of her is Roland Garros, where she already has three titles. Fans are excited for the Pole’s run in France.
