Nick Kyrgios has confirmed he’ll join the ‘Six Kings Slam’ event, set for January 2 in Dubai. Fans can purchase tickets on the official website.
The 2025 ATP and WTA seasons may be over, but several top names are keeping busy with a packed December of exhibition tennis. Carlos Alcaraz faced Frances Tiafoe in New Jersey and will meet rising star Joao Fonseca in Miami, while Aryna Sabalenka prepares for a revamped “Battle of the Sexes” showdown with Nick Kyrgios in Dubai on December 28.
Kyrgios isn’t stopping there. The Australian has now signed up for one of the most lucrative exhibitions of the off-season — joining a lineup stacked with ATP talent.
The MGM Slam has become a fixture of the off-season exhibition calendar since its debut in 2022, drawing stars such as Aryna Sabalenka, Rafael Nadal and Naomi Osaka. The 2025 edition is no exception.
This year’s entry list features Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, Casper Ruud, Nick Kyrgios, Joao Fonseca, Gaël Monfils, Lorenzo Musetti and Alexander Bublik — all competing for a $1 million prize pool. The event retains its signature format: a knockout bracket where matches are decided by a single 10-point tiebreaker.
The MGM Slam has also delivered major moments in past years, including a globally streamed Alcaraz vs. Nadal clash in 2024 that aired live on Netflix.
The 2026 MGM Slam is scheduled between two ATP 500 tournaments — Acapulco and Dubai — and just before the first Masters 1000 event of the season in Indian Wells. With Acapulco and Dubai both starting on February 23, the MGM Slam final will take place on the same day.
As a result, players such as Fritz, Paul, Ruud and Fonseca are expected to skip those ATP 500 events in favour of the exhibition. While unusual, the timing offers a logistical advantage: all eight participants will already be in the United States preparing for Indian Wells and the Miami Open, which begin on March 4 and March 16, respectively.
With a top-tier field, a fast-paced format, and seven figures in prize money on offer, the MGM Slam is once again shaping up to be one of the most high-profile exhibitions of the off-season.
