Carlos Alcaraz remains red-hot, securing another straightforward victory at Wimbledon. The two-time defending champion extends his consecutive wins at the All England Club to 19, overpowering Cameron Norrie 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 to advance to the semifinals.

Alcaraz now boasts 23 wins in 25 matches at Wimbledon and continues to be the formidable force to beat. He delivered another impressive performance on serve – saving all break points against him throughout the match – and now looks to face Taylor Fritz for a spot in the final.

First Set

Norrie showed his cards first, holding his initial service game and then putting his opponent under pressure on serve. Alcaraz faced a 0-40 deficit in his first service game but managed to hold by saving four break points.

The Spaniard then seized the momentum, displaying confidence and securing two consecutive breaks. Alcaraz surged to a 5-1 lead with strong service games and, with his significant advantage, held his serve to close out the set 6-2. After facing those early break points, Alcaraz won 15 of the next 18 points on his serve, giving his opponent few chances.

Second Set

The tone of the match remained similar at the start of the second set. Alcaraz had his first break opportunity early on but couldn't convert it, leveling the score at 1-1. At that point, Carlitos accelerated, capitalizing on a moment where he appeared superior and fresher, to secure the break that put him ahead.

Again, Alcaraz showed few vulnerabilities on serve, saving a single break point in the 6th game, and took a 5-3 lead. At that moment, Norrie had to serve to stay in the set, but Alcaraz performed better under pressure, comfortably taking the set with a break at 6-3. Alcaraz had won 69% of his service points compared to Norrie's 56%, with the Brit struggling to find confidence on his own serve.

Third Set

Although Norrie showed fighting spirit, he never fully found his rhythm in the match. The Brit lacked the serving power he'd shown in previous matches and again conceded break opportunities midway through the set. Alcaraz secured the break in the 6th game and then advanced with his serve to a 5-2 lead.

At that moment, Norrie served to stay in the match and was on the verge of capitulating when Alcaraz had his first match point, but an unforced error denied him. While Norrie managed to hold his serve, he couldn't threaten his opponent's serve, and Alcaraz closed out the victory 6-2, 6-3, 6-3, sweeping aside his opponent.

Alcaraz will return to the court this Friday for his semifinal clash against Taylor Fritz, who defeated Karen Khachanov in a tight encounter earlier. Alcaraz extends his career-best winning streak to 22 consecutive victories.
