Novak Djokovic advances to meet Nick Kyrgios in Wimbledon final

Top-seeded Novak Djokovic recovered from a first-set loss to breeze his way to a 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 victory over Cameron Norrie on Friday and advance to the Wimbledon final against Nick Kyrgios.

Djokovic, 35, is the defending champion at Wimbledon and a six-time winner of the tournament. On Friday, he made 12 unforced errors in the first set before settling in and making just 16 in the next three. Norrie broke Djokovic's serve three times in the first set, but never even forced break point in the last three sets.

A year ago, Djokovic was one match away from becoming the third man ever and the first in more than 50 years to achieve a calendar slam. He was denied that achievement when he lost in straight sets against Daniil Medvedev.

Djokovic is now set to appear in his first Grand Slam final since that loss, while Kyrgios will appear in the first of his career.

Kyrgios, 27, beat Djokovic in straight sets in both of their only two career meetings. Both matches were 2017 when the pair played at Indian Wells and the Mexican Open.
