Novak Djokovic and family pick a beautiful vacation destination in Italy before the Serb attempts to clinch victory at the Indian Wells

To all the Novak Djokovic fans who were searching for an answer to where the Serbian is if he is not playing, the Djokovic family is in Italy for a vacation. As per reports floating in the media, Novak Djokovic landed in Bolzano on February 3 and is expected to revisit an old location the Serbian traveled in 2020.

After a not-so-good start to the 2024 season as per his standards, Djokovic has taken the time to rejuvenate himself before he returns to action, most probably at Indian Wells. The Serbian could not defend his crown at the 2024 Australian Open as Italian Jannik Sinner knocked him out in four sets.

Even at the 2024 United Cup, Djokovic lost to Alex de Minaur in straight sets. Now, after underwhelming performances at two back-to-back tournaments, Djokovic would need to reset himself and he has chosen to do it by moving between the Alpe di Siusi and Val Gardena.

In the next few days, Djokovic should move between the Alpe di Siusi and Val Gardena, locations already frequented by the athlete in the past, the last time in February 2020. Claimed a report in the Alto Adige.

Novak Djokovic yet to find his best this season

As already mentioned, Novak Djokovic has not been at his best this season so far. Although he has a win-lose ratio of 7:2 in the 2024 season, the seven wins have not been that convincing. Out of seven wins, only four have come in straight sets. The three wins where Djokovic has won the match in four sets, he has had to play a tiebreaker.

Even at the 2024 Australian Open, Djokovic did not look at his best element. The ten-time champion had to fight it out against unseeded players like Dino Prizmic and Alexei Popyrin. Even against Tomas Martin Etcheverry and Taylor Fritz, Djokovic played a tiebreaker. It was surprising to see Djokovic playing a tiebreaker against Fritz considering the Serb’s head-to-head record against the American.

Against Jannik Sinner, Djokovic almost got a bagel in the first set. Although he managed to win three games in the first two sets, Djokovic definitely did not look at his best. There were rumors that Djokovic was not fully fit leading into the Australian Open. While there is no confirmation around the same, the 36-year-old definitely looked rusty.

Now, it is to be seen how Djokovic regains his rhythm and dominates the tour like he has been doing for a while.
