Earlier today, Paula Badosa took to social media to share an emotional message with her fans, signaling the end of her 2025 campaign. However, she made it clear that while this chapter is closing, her story is far from over.

In an emotional week for Spanish tennis star Paula Badosa, the 27-year-old was forced to end her 2025 season early after retiring from her match against Karolina Muchova at the China Open.

Badosa, who has struggled with injuries over the past year, was visibly distraught as she left the court in tears following a thigh issue that led to her retirement during the first set.
The match, which saw Badosa take multiple medical timeouts before ultimately being unable to continue, marked a painful chapter in what has already been a challenging season.

“There are times when I ask myself how I keep going through the toughest most painful moments,” Badosa wrote. “And the truth is that it's in those exact moments that I discover the deepest strength inside me. Every setback hurts, but it also reminds me how badly I want to fight, how much I want to come back stronger.”

The heartfelt post was a mixture of vulnerability and determination, as Badosa reflected on the mental and emotional toll of her ongoing battle with injuries while expressing deep gratitude to her supporters.

“I wouldn't be able to do this without the people who continue to believe in me. Your support carries me when things get heavy, and your faith gives me courage when doubt creeps in. There is truly no greater feeling than walking onto a tennis court and seeing you all there, standing behind me. That energy, that love. It's something I can never thank you enough for,” she added.

The former world No. 2 emphasized that this is not a farewell, but rather a pause—a chance to heal, reset, and come back stronger.
“No matter how many obstacles come my way, I promise you this: I will keep fighting, I will keep pushing, and I will keep finding my way back.”
While the 2025 season ends on a somber note for Badosa, her words carry a clear message: she is not done yet.

Fans can expect her to return in 2026 with renewed focus and spirit, determined to reclaim her place among the sport’s elite.
For now, the tennis world rallies behind Badosa as she takes the necessary time to recover—physically and mentally—from yet another difficult setback in her career.
