Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa come back together after announcing breakup 3 weeks ago on Instagram
Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

In a sensational turn of events, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa are back together. The tennis couple had confirmed the end of their relationship three weeks ago.

The news of their breakup created shockwaves throughout the tennis circuit, as they always had a good vibe about their relationship. According to SDNA, Tsitsipas will address the media to further explain this speculation and hopes to clear things up between himself and Badosa.

We are together. I'm going to explain why some people create different stories about us. It's not that I care, but I don't think people should take it like that. Paula didn't do anything wrong, and neither did I. It was hard for us to be apart, and I was also going through difficult times. I would say that I didn't take it very well either, because I felt the pressure of the tour, of my work. It seemed like a mountain to combine the two things (personal and professional life) and I made the decision to take a break. Stefanos Tsitsipas told SDNA

The tennis couple won’t have time to share many romantic moments with each other as they have a busy schedule ahead. They were in Rome a couple of weeks ago, where Tsitsipas lost in the quarter-finals to Nicolas Jarry, and Badosa was defeated in the Round of 16 by Coco Gauff.

After two or three weeks I realized that she is a person who has supported me a lot and ,when she tried to talk to me again, I felt how intense the love we have for each other is. I realized that this relationship I have with Paula is completely different from any other relationship I have had. That gives more value to everything I do and I want her by my side whenever possible. So yes, we have reconnected and we are in a good place. Stefanos Tsitsipas added

The couple is expected to travel to Paris for Roland Garros . Badosa plays Katie Boulter in the first round, while Tsitsipas will face Márton Fucsovics. Both matches are scheduled for Sunday, May 26th.

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa: The story so far

On May 10th, Paula Badosa announced that she and Stefanos Tsitsipas were ending their nearly year-long romantic relationship on amicable terms. The couple, known affectionately as “Tsitsidosa,” had become one of the most beloved pairs in tennis, even creating a joint Instagram account that garnered over 87,000 followers.

Before announcing their split, the joint account was deleted, although photos of them together remain on their individual social media profiles. They had consistently supported each other online, both on and off the court, earning the title of one of tennis’s top power couples.

We have shared a journey filled with love and learning, and it is as friends with immense mutual respect that we now choose to move forward on our own paths.
