Tennis great Rafael Nadal spends millions on custom luxury yacht

Tennis great Rafael Nadal has purchased a massive custom yacht — and it is stunning.

Nadal purchased a 79-foot Sunreef 80 Power yacht that likely docked him around $10 million, according to TMZ. Key features of the catamaran include stainless steel portlights, subtle ambient lighting, a superyacht tender garage large enough to fit a tender and jet ski and many other water toys.

That's not all the yacht has, either. The upper deck includes a waterfall-fed spa pool, upper helm position, bar area and retractable hard-top. 12 guests and four crew members can fit onboard, and the boat has over 4,000 square feet of livable space.

It's no surprise he shelled out some serious money for a new boat, especially considering he's ranked on Forbes' list of the highest-paid athletes in 2020. Nadal, 34, is 27th on the list and takes home $40 million in earnings — $14 million in winnings and $26 million in endorsements.

Nadal is no stranger to boating, either. Before purchasing the catamaran, he owned a $3 million, 76-foot Italian-built MCY 76 motor yacht named "Beethoven" for his love of classical music.

The yacht was delivered to Nadal in his home town of Mallorca, Spain last week, and that's where he intends to use it a majority of the time.
