Tennis world reacts to Ash Barty's stunning retirement news

Ash Barty announced the stunning news that she is retiring from tennis at the age of 25, despite holding the No. 1 ranking. Many of her colleagues reacted to the news over Twitter. They showed support and congratulated Barty on her career and decision.

Barty previously stepped away from tennis late in 2014 to early 2016 before returning. She eventually rose to No. 1 and captured three grand slams in her career, including Wimbledon in 2021 and the Australian Open earlier this year.

Will her retirement this time around be permanent? Only time will tell. But for now, she has the respect of her colleagues as she steps away.
