To the surprise of absolutely no one, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will square off this Sunday in the 2025 US Open final.
Alcaraz booked his ticket to the final by defeating Novak Djokovic 6-4, 7-6 (4), 6-2 in the semifinals. It was an impressive performance from the five-time Grand Slam champion. Sinner, meanwhile, defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. He struggled with his first serve throughout the match, but he capitalized when break point opportunities came his way.
This Sunday will mark the third consecutive Grand Slam final that features Alcaraz and Sinner. Earlier this year, the 22-year-old from Spain won a five-set thriller at Roland-Garros. Roughly a month later, the world No. 1 from Italy got his revenge by winning the Wimbledon final in four sets.
As of now, Sinner is a slight favorite over Alcaraz. That makes sense considering he has won the past three Grand Slam tournaments played on a hard court.
Even though Alcaraz and Sinner meet at almost every single tournament, the demand to see these two superstars on the court is incredibly high.
The cheapest seat on Ticketmaster for this year's US Open final is a whopping $761. That's the cost for one seat in Section 325. There are also a few listings for $802 and $815.
If you want to sit right near the court, you'll have to be willing to spend at least $12,000 for a seat.
Suffice to say, it'll cost a pretty penny just to enter Arthur Ashe Stadium this Sunday.
Those who will be in attendance could witness history. If Alcaraz defeats Sinner in straight sets, he'll become the first man to win the US Open without dropping a single set.
