After an eventful Slam season in 2025 came to a close in New York, where Carlos Alcaraz added two more Majors to his collection, the tennis never truly stops. Although he skipped the Davis Cup Qualifiers Round 2 this week due to fatigue, Alcaraz now prepares for a packed run of tournaments to close out 2025.

The season resumes with the Laver Cup (September 19–21), where Alcaraz will once again represent Team Europe in the unique team-format event. Debate often surrounds this competition, whether it should count as an exhibition or a tour-level event, but it has firmly established itself as one of the sport’s marquee attractions, blending competition with entertainment. Fans eagerly await Alcaraz’s return to action alongside some of the game’s biggest names.

Alcaraz’s Remaining 2025 Schedule

Asian Swing

Immediately after, he travels to Asia for a busy swing. He begins at the ATP 500 Tokyo (September 22–30), a tournament he will be playing for the first time instead of Beijing. Alcaraz will then aim for bigger points at the Shanghai Masters 1000 (October 1–12), the standout event of the Asian hard-court season. With his improved serve and overall hard-court game, he will look to build on last year’s quarterfinal showing.

Following Shanghai, Alcaraz heads to the Middle East for the Six Kings event (October 15–18), currently the most high-profile exhibition tournament in tennis, with the winner bagging a total of $6 million. This will serve as a bridge into the European indoor season, where he will take on the year’s final ATP Masters 1000.

European Indoor Swing

The Paris-Bercy Masters (October 27 – November 2) is an event where Alcaraz has historically struggled, but this year it will take place at a new venue. A change of scenery, coupled with the improvements he has made in his indoor game this season, should serve as a good litmus test of where his level truly stands. This tournament also acts as the lead-up to the climax of the season.

That climax, of course, is the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin (November 9–16). As the top-ranked player in the world, Alcaraz is already assured of his place among the eight-man field. The Finals provide a stage where only the very best compete, and Alcaraz will be aiming to add this prestigious title to his growing collection.

Conclusion

Finally, Alcaraz closes the year in the United States with an Exhibition in New Jersey (December 7). While lighter in competitive stakes, it will give American fans one more chance to see the young superstar in action before the new season begins.

With this demanding schedule, Alcaraz faces the challenge of balancing performance with recovery. Each tournament presents a different test, from the fast-paced Asian hard courts to the tactical indoor battles in Europe. If he maintains form and fitness, the final stretch of 2025 could see him add significant ranking points and end the year with strong momentum heading into 2026.

For fans, it promises three months of high-octane tennis from the sport’s brightest stars.
