'Not worried about none of them,' 8x Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt remains unfazed about his world records being broken

As for the 200m, Bolt holds the record at 19.19 seconds which was also set during the World Athletics Championship in 2009. Since these iconic moments, several have tried but have not been able to break the record. He was recently asked by the World Athletics about which record he is worried about that can be broken.

The track icon laughed and claimed he was not worried about any and did not know which would be broken first. He though did mention the 100m record might stay a little bit longer.

Can Noah Lyles break Usain Bolt’s records?

One athlete that had made a name for himself in the track and field category is Noah Lyles. The American sprinter just like Usain Bolt has mesmerized the fans with his unique speed. One question that has risen in the minds of many is whether he could break any of Bolt’s records.

Lyles recently opened up about how he wanted to improve the legacy Bolt has created. When it comes to running at International events, fans who are not versed in track and field will also at least know the name of Bolt.

Before the World Athletics Championship in August this year, Lyles dropped a bold claim regarding Bolt’s 200m record. In an interview with USA Today, he said, “I know that I’m going to break it”. While the 26-year-old failed to break the record of Bolt, he did manage to lead Team USA to wins in 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay races.

Lyles though has come closer to breaking that record. He broke the record of 19.32 seconds set by American international Michael Johnson during the 1996 Olympics. This had led to several believing that he in fact could break one of the records set by Bolt in 2009.

Whether Lyles will actually be able to do so remains to be seen, he would be hoping the fans could get on his side. Following his triumph in Budapest, he made a bold statement on the NBA using “world champions” to describe the championship winners. This was met with furious reactions from the fans and celebrities who brutally slammed him.
