Per BBC Sport, two-time reigning world 400-meter hurdles champion Karsten Warholm made history in Oslo during Thursday's Impossible Games trial by completing the fastest recorded 300-meter trek ever.
In front of a small amount of socially distanced spectators and cardboard cutouts of individuals due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the 24-year-old Norwegian clocked in at 33.78 seconds, 0.7 seconds faster than the mark that Britain's Chris Rawlinson had held since 2002.

As explained by Pierre-Henry Deshayes of Agence France-Presse (h/t Yahoo Sports), the Impossible Games replaced the Diamond League, a meet that was canceled because of the uncontrolled virus outbreak.
Deshayes added that Warholm selected lane No. 7 because it's his favorite.
