10 Horror Game Haunted Houses That Would Be Awesome IRL

If you’re like me and you love horror (haunted mansion ftw), games, and film, you like to keep an inventory of these things and make a random list of the 10 best video games that would make awesome haunted houses. So, here’s that list.

Luigi’s Mansion as a Haunted House? Yes, Please

This one is kind of an outlier, because it itsn’t actually considered a horror game, but hear me out. Wouldn’t it be awesome to see a giant King Boo just scare the crap out of people who are exploring a replica of Luigi’s Mansion

Any Dead by Daylight Map

Dead by Daylight is one of my all-time favorite games, just for the fact that it includes so many of my favorite slashers and horror movie villains. It’s just inevitable for a haunted house to be made for this game, you know?

Lethal Company

Now this one is pretty crazy. Lethal Company isn’t the scariest game in the world, and I do feel it is a bit more funny than it is scary. But seeing the monsters replicated in a haunted house and having it interactive by scavenging for loot would be totally freaking awesome.

Resident Evil Village

Now this one is a no-brainer. Similar to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios, I would love to see the Dimitrescu castle replicated in full scale. It would bring immersion to a whole new level, and personally, I would just love to say, ‘Hey, I went to the Dimitrescu castle and survived’.

Dying Light

Also a no-brainer. This would be the most fun haunted house on this list. Parkour would be a requirement. Get touched by a zombie you lose. Craft and build weapons during your time inside the house. Like, who wouldn’t have a great time with that?

Omori

Omori isn’t your conventional horror game. It’s more of a psychological horror game that looks cute with the horror peeking through the cracks of its colorful facade. It would be kind of cool to walk through a dreamy landscape that would deteriorate the further you go.

Poppy Playtime

Also a no-brainer on the list. This game is ripe with jump scares and chase scenes, perfect for a haunted house moment. Also, kids would love to see a life-size Huggy Wuggy, even a demonized version of him.

Mortuary Assistant

Now this game. Let me tell you about this game. It is scary as hell! Not even thinking about the supernatural aspect of the game, where you are haunted by a demon, embalming corpses is the worst job to complete while you are dealing with a demon. It would feel more like an escape room, but I think it can pass off as a haunted house.

Fatal Frame

Fatal Frame is also an outlier, but it’s one of my favorite classic horror games. If you haven’t heard of the game before, it’s exactly as you’d expect it to be. A supernatural horror game that involves a camera and taking pictures. It super freaking scary and something not only people will enjoy but its so creative and you could do a lot with this idea in terms of how to make a haunted house.

Little Nightmares

Little Nightmares is an awesome game with such iconic looking monsters and villains. Being a part of that world, even through a haunted house, would be so fun and really scary, having to avoid the grotesque creatures as you journey through the haunted house.
