Emotionless The Last Ticket is a psychological horror adventure game by X1 Games. This is a first-person psychological experience where you play as James Anderson, who has become lost in an amusement park built by his missing father. Throughout the journey, you uncover secrets of this uncanny amusement park where things get weirder and weirder the further you go. Originally set to release on Steam on September 18, the launch has been pushed back a month. Here’s all you need to know.
Emotionless The Last Ticket follows the story of James Anderson, a man who visits an amusement park every year, built by his missing father. This surreal world you venture into focuses on atmospheric exploration, taking inspiration from liminal space games. As James, you venture far into the deep, dark crevices of the park, places no one has been to. You find clues about your missing father, the creepy rides at the park, all the while discovering the secrets of the park your father built. It’s trippy, creepy, and will test your mind the further you get in the game.
The demo of the game has been available for quite some time now, and the release was scheduled for this week. However, the release has been pushed back until October 7. According to X1 Games, the delay is due to allow for the completion of localization into different languages. The devs expressed that they wanted players all over the world to be able to experience the game, which is why they wanted to take some time to add other languages to the language setting.
Other than the localization work added to the game, players can experience part of the game through the demo. I played around with the demo for a little bit and can say it definitely is trippy. The inspiration of liminal spaces in the game makes the experience a little more terrifying, more so in a dreadful feeling than an in-your-face type of horror. I think gamers will like this one. It’s still available to wishlist on Steam, and if you’re interested, the demo is available to play if you want to experience a creepy type of horror.
