Assassins Creed Shadows release date has been leaked. It will be on the Switch 2 and is set to come out on December 5 in both a digital and physical version. The physical version comes in the form of a key code that can be used. It will likely cost about $50.
The game is likely to be available to pre-order, as well. There is no set date yet, but it is rumored to be coming out before November 7.
Ubisoft hasn’t made any official statements about the game yet, however. No official confirmation has been made either, as to whether it will be available on Switch 2. However, a French retailer called Auchan posted a listing for the Switch 2 version, but has since removed it. The game was previously released on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Reportedly, though, in April PEGI did list the Switch 2 as a platform. One thing Ubisoft did reveal, though, was that Vantage Studios will oversee the development of the Assassins Creed games. Ubisoft also reportedly pulled the plug on an Assassins Creed game that was civil war themed because it was just too controversial.
The game is set in feudal Japan and a recent review of the game by VGC stated:
“With excellent gameplay, a compelling narrative and a massive, beautiful world to explore, it is so much better than many expected it to be. Even if it’s not the game that saves Ubisoft, it did exactly what it needed to, bringing confidence back to one of modern gaming’s biggest and most troubled franchises.”
