Alright, let’s be real—if you’re running the Boom Boo Grand Prix and trying to snag every Red Star Ring, you’ve probably screamed at your screen at least once. These things are tucked away like Easter eggs in a speed run, and unless you know exactly where to look, you’re gonna miss them. I did. Repeatedly.

So here’s the deal: I’ve mapped out all five Red Star Ring locations for each track in the Boom Boo Grand Prix—Mystic Jungle, Apotos, and Wonder Museum. No fluff, no corporate tone. Just straight-up gamer-to-gamer intel.

Mystic Jungle – Where the Rings Hide

Mystic Jungle is gorgeous, but it’s also a trap. You’ll be flying through trees, diving into caves, and missing rings that are literally inches off the racing line.

  • Ring 1: Right out the gate, you hit a flying section. Don’t go straight—cut hard right and aim for the Dash Ring floating mid-air. The Red Star Ring is inside it. Miss it once, shame on the game. Miss it twice, welcome to the club.
  • Ring 2: After you land, hug the right wall like your life depends on it. There’s a sneaky ring just chilling near the curve. Easy to miss if you’re boosting.
  • Ring 3: In the cave, ignore the center Boost Pads. Hit the far-right one and you’ll launch into a hidden alcove with the third ring. Took me three laps to figure that out.
  • Ring 4: Lap 3 unlocks a new path near the waterfall. Use the Travel Ring to hit an elevated route. The ring’s sitting on a narrow ledge—don’t blink.
  • Ring 5: Final stretch, Lap 3. There’s a side ramp that only activates if you’ve kept your speed up. The last ring is floating above it like it’s mocking you.

Pro Tip: These only count in solo races. Grand Prix runs don’t register them, which is honestly rude.

Apotos – Beach Vibes, Hidden Rings

Apotos looks chill, but it’s got some of the trickiest placements in the game. Water hazards, collapsing bridges, and sneaky shortcuts make this one a pain if you’re not paying attention.

  • Ring 1: Near the docks, take the left ramp during Lap 1. The ring is floating above a narrow jump. Boost early or you’ll whiff it.
  • Ring 2: After the lighthouse, hug the right wall. Lap 2 opens a hidden alcove with the second ring. I missed it five times before realizing it was even there.
  • Ring 3: Mid-track split path—go high. There’s a collapsing bridge with a ring floating above it. You’ve got one shot.
  • Ring 4: Lap 3 shortcut near the beach umbrellas. Dash Pad launches you into a side tunnel. Ring’s just chillin’ in there.
  • Ring 5: Final corner. Tight drift zone. Ring’s hovering like a dare. Nail the drift or crash, trying.

Reminder: Lap 3 is where the magic happens. If you’re not exploring new paths, you’re missing half the rings.

 Wonder Museum – Gravity’s a Suggestion

This track is wild. You’re racing through exhibits, defying gravity, and trying not to get dizzy. The rings here are placed like the devs wanted you to suffer (in a fun way).

  • Ring 1: Early on, there’s a rotating exhibit with a Dash Ring above it. The Red Star Ring’s inside. Time your jump or cry later.
  • Ring 2: After the gravity tunnel, veer left. There’s a side corridor with a holographic display. Ring’s tucked behind it like it’s hiding from you.
  • Ring 3: Mid-race loop. As you exit, boost upward. There’s a floating platform with the third ring. You’ll need perfect timing.
  • Ring 4: Lap 3 opens a new wing near the dinosaur skeleton. Travel Ring takes you to a hidden gallery. Ring’s just vibing in the corner.
  • Ring 5: Above the finish line arch. You need two Dash Pads and a mid-air drift to reach it. I’ve only hit it once. Felt like a god.

Final Tip: Even if you’ve already collected a ring, grabbing it again gives you Donpa Tickets. So yeah, it’s worth the rerun.
