Tired of actually playing the game? Want to feel like an omnipotent god strolling through a field of terrified, exploding enemies? Well, have I got the build for you. Let’s talk about the most ridiculously overpowered Rafa build in Borderlands 4 that has the community absolutely buzzing. And the best part? You barely have to lift a finger.
When a new Borderlands game drops, it’s a mad dash to see who can break it first. The theorycrafters and build wizards dive deep into the code, mixing and matching skills until they find something that makes the developers weep. Borderlands 4 has taken this to a whole new level with licensed parts, turning even the most basic peashooter into a weapon of mass destruction.
Enter Moxsy, the content-creating genius who previously gave us that absurdly powerful Amon build for melting bosses. He’s back, and this time he’s turned his mad-scientist gaze upon Rafa. The result is a hands-free, AFK-style build that lets Rafa’s Peacebreaker Cannons do all the dirty work. Seriously, you can just go for a walk while everything around you erupts in a symphony of elemental chaos.
So, what’s the secret sauce? It all comes down to one glorious, game-breaking mechanic: ricochet damage.
Ricochet is quickly proving to be the undisputed king of effects in Borderlands 4. As Moxsy breaks down in his video, it seems that weapons with ricochet capabilities create new projectiles for every single element attached to them. Let that sink in. If your gun has both fire and corrosive damage, it’s not just one bullet bouncing around; it’s two separate projectiles, each carrying its own elemental payload, bouncing from enemy to enemy.
With this Rafa build, you become a walking apocalypse. Your job is simply to exist. Your Peacebreaker Cannons will inherit the properties of the gun you’re holding and unleash a storm of ricocheting death upon anyone foolish enough to look at you sideways.
Ready to become the laziest, most destructive force in the Borderlands? Here’s what you need to make this glorious Rafa build sing.
First, you’ll need a Maliwan beam tosser shotgun. Why this specific piece of gear? Because it comes with dual elements and a ridiculously high base damage. This is the foundation of our elemental chaos.
Next, find an enhancement with the ‘Mixologist’ passive. This little beauty adds an extra 10% elemental damage from the inactive element on your Maliwan gun. The percentage itself is pocket change, but the magic is in triggering two elements at once. This doubles down on the ricochet effect, creating a cascade of projectiles that will wipe the map clean.
With this setup, your cannons become autonomous death machines. You just stroll through combat, maybe sip some tea, while your enemies are vaporized.
Now, let’s turn to the skill trees. The goal here is simple: pump up the Peacebreaker Cannons, boost ricochet damage, and stack as many elemental effects as humanly possible.
You’re going to be spending a lot of time in the Remote Agent (Red) tree. Grab skills like Deft Hands, Juerga, Instinto, Maestro, El Valiente, Asymmetric Warfare, and Errant Spark. You’ll also want Lateral Plinking, Double-Ought Autoshot, Vitriol, Pain Reaction, El Alacrán, and Concentrated Build-Up.
That last one, Concentrated Build-Up, is particularly hilarious. It grants Rafa bonus shock damage when aiming down sights (ADS). Remember how you don’t even fire your gun with this build? Doesn’t matter. Just hold down the ADS button, and your cannons will start zapping everything with bonus shock damage. It’s beautiful, isn’t it?
Don’t forget the This Year’s Gimmick (Green) tree. You only need one skill here: Midnight Oil. This will stack corrosive damage onto your already ludicrous elemental cocktail.
While Moxsy provides a min-maxed loadout in his video, the beauty of this Rafa build is its sheer, unadulterated power. Even with less-than-perfect gear, you’ll still be a walking war crime. Go forth and conquer, you magnificent, lazy beast.
