Now that we’ve crossed the halfway point of 2025, big game releases are coming up really fast, and Cronos The New Dawn is one of them. Gamescom just revealed the release date of the sequel to the titular game, and here is all you need to know about its release.
Cronos: The New Dawn is a survival horror game set to release on September 5 of this year. It is set in a futuristic reality where we play as the traveler exploring abandoned ruins to search for time rifts back to the past. Yes, you heard that right, we are time-traveling, specifically back to 1980s Poland, to find certain figures that would prevent the Change, a cataclysmic event that caused global annihilation. We also fight off the Orphans, mutated creatures that are terrifying in every which way.
The horror is top-notch, gameplay looks clean, the story seems really immersive and engaging for players, and there’s a cat! Players are gearing up for its release next week, with a bunch of pre-order rewards available, like the 2-day early access on all platforms, which I am definitely getting. Apart from the rewards, the game is set for a global release date as well.
According to the PlayStation Store, Cronos The New Dawn is set to release at the same time all around the world. This is a very different approach to release dates and times, as games usually release staggered, meaning the game is released at different times across different regions. Here are the release times for every region:
PST: September 5 @ 7:00 am
Central: September 5 @ 9:00 am
EST: September 5 @ 10:00 am
British Summer Time: September 5 @ 15:00 pm
Australia EST: September 6 @ 0:00 pm
