Destiny 2: DPS Weapons to Have for The Edge of Fate

New expansions will always bring new damage metas in Destiny 2. Until we know the patch changes and all weapons with their perks coming in the Edge of Fate, we have recommendations that you should have going into the expansion. Most of them should remain relevant in the Edge of Fate. The only aspect that may cause weapons to change is if they receive nerfs or if new weapons have better perks.

Destiny 2 Heavy Weapons

Heavy Weapons are the crux of any DPS loadout in Destiny 2. In the majority of cases, they will form the most significant portion of your damage. We have a few suggestions for you to acquire heading into the Edge of Fate.

Special Weapons often supplement the total damage during DPS phases. Others can be used in cases where you run out of Heavy Ammo and need to squeeze out that extra bit of damage. Then there is the select few that deal enough damage on their own.

Destiny 2 Primary Weapons

Primary Weapons are the last resort for DPS. You usually pull out these weapons in situations where you do not have any special or heavy ammo remaining.
