Destiny 2: Solstice 2025 Changed Drastically – Event Guide

The Solstice Event for Destiny 2 has not received many changes in the past few years. In 2025, Bungie has overhauled most of the gameplay loop for the Solstice Event. The Solstice armor and its glows are back, so you still have ways to earn them. However, the EAZ and bonfire bash are gone, and players can participate in any activity to progress in the Solstice event.

Destiny 2 Solstice Event Changes

The Bonfire Bash activity, which involved players lighting a Bonfire, is no longer playable during Solstice. Instead, Solstice modifiers have been added to Portal activities, which increase reward score. Solstice weapons and armor drop from most Portal activities. The tier level depends on Guardian Rank and player Power Level. The drops are a higher tier than expected. Players between 300 can drop tier 4 and 5 Solstice gear. Lastly, the armor crafting is significantly faster, with four Solo Ops being enough to craft and two Solo Ops to add a glow.

To kick off the event, players must go to Eva Levante in the tower. The questline is as follows:

  1. Complete a Portal Activity with Solstice Modifiers, or complete a Solstice Scorched Crucible Match.
  2. Claim the first reward from the Event Pass.
  3. Acquire 100 Solstice Alloy from Activities
  4. Forge a piece of Solstice Armor.
  5. Claim the first Solstice Triumph.
  6. Return to Eva Levante.
  7. You will get another questline, which requires you to get Solstice Alloy, craft Armor, and their glows.

Destiny 2: Acquiring Alloys

Every event in Destiny 2 grants players Solstice Alloys.

  • Solo Ops
    • 25 Alloys
  • Fireteam
    • 32 Alloys
  • Pinnacle
    • 56 Alloys
  • Crucible
    • 15+ Alloys

The most efficient way to farm Solstice Alloys is in Solo Ops with the Caldera or K1 Logistics activities. Both take around five minutes or lower if you are efficient.

Destiny 2: Modifiers

The 2025 Event has its modifiers that increase the reward score for Portal activities.
