Disney Dreamlight Valley Mysteries of Skull Rock with Exciting Updates Coming Soon!

We’ve wanted to see inside that skull-shaped rock since Disney Dreamlight Valley launched. The Mysteries of Skull Rock update will finally open it up, and there’s a lot more coming with this update!

Mysteries of Skull Rock

If you’ve been playing Disney Dreamlight Valley for a while, you’ve seen that skull-shaped rock on Dazzle Beach so many times and wanted to get inside and find out what it’s hiding. Of course, any Disney fan knows that it has something to do with Peter Pan. On June 18th, 2025, the game will receive the update that opens that cave and welcomes Peter Pan!

The news shared by the developers says we’ll have to figure out how to get inside, and “a familiar and forgotten friend can lend a hand.” That leads into the new content for The Forgotten. Mysteries of Skull Rock is also bringing them into our valley as a full-fledged villager. It took long enough! They’ll be getting a house, friendship quests, and a name. Finally, we can call them something other than The Forgotten.

Additionally, if you’re a PlayStation player, cross-saves are coming with this update!

Animal Companions

Who doesn’t love having an animal companion following you around the valley? They’re adorable but not particularly useful. That’s about to change, too. With Mysteries of Skull Rock, animal companions are getting friendship levels and names! You won’t be able to change the names of critters that are already named. For example, Pua from Moana. Fingers crossed that the friendship rewards are good!

New Starpath

Along with the Mysteries of Skull Rock update, a new Star Path will begin. It’s planned to be seafaring and mermaid-themed. They haven’t provided more details, but from the promo image, it looks like Minnie Mouse and Goofy will get new looks, there are a number of new furniture and outdoor items, a pirate outfit for us, and a pirate monkey! That monkey is cute!

So, let your Night Thorns grow (you’ll be sure to have Duties to remove them) and get ready to do some chores! Those items are just too fun to miss any of them. Also, Max from The Little Mermaid is coming to the premium store. So, save those moonstones so you can have him for your own. He’s joining us with the ability to dig up the holes you find everywhere. That’s useful!

What’s Next For Disney Dreamlight Valley?

There’s more coming for the game. July 9th, 2025, is the date for the finale to The Storybook Vale Expansion. We’ll have another article for more on that. The roadmap they shared shows that Summer 2025 brings something that has to do with emotions. That sounds like it’s Inside Out themed. Autumn 2025 shows “Return to an enchanting realm.” The image looks like it’s from Beauty and the Beast’s realm. And Winter 2025 shows an image of the pumpkin carriage and mentions dreams coming true. That couldn’t be more obviously Cinderella-related.

There’s a lot coming in free updates for Disney Dreamlight Valley even after Mysteries of Skull Rock. It’s nice to see a game getting such regular updates! Stay tuned, and we’ll keep sharing the latest news.
