Smarter runs, tuned finishing, and Career Mode stability headline the latest update.
Just weeks into launch—and before some players could even figure out how to defend a Low Driven Shot without yelling at their TV— the first major patch for EA SPORTS FC 26 will soon be available, bringing with a mix of gameplay tweaks and long-requested fixes. Update 1.0.2 focuses on tightening attacking AI, tuning Low Driven Shots to be less automatic, and addressing the Career Mode bug that caused players to unexpectedly leave clubs during simming.
It’s EA’s way of responding quickly to community feedback from the Closed Beta and beyond. The update details were first shared by EA SPORTS FC Direct Community on X, the official channel for game updates.

The patch makes meaningful strides across multiple areas of gameplay, modes, and performance. Notably, the tuning of Low Driven Shots and the Career Mode sim bug fix both address issues players had been vocal about since launch. By acting on that feedback, EA shows it is listening to its community. While more work is expected in future updates, Patch 1.0.2 sets the stage for a smoother and more responsive FC 26 experience moving forward, and it reinforces that EA FC 26 is off to a great start.
