Fate Trigger is the latest anime FPS shooter game to join the roster of the popular gaming genre, and already, people are gearing up for its release. We’ve already seen footage from the closed beta, and now, Saroasis is releasing early access for the game in the coming year.

Fate Trigger Closed Beta Success

Fate Trigger became available for a closed beta in late July and was considered a success. It attracted hundreds of thousands of participants and garnered high interest from players and critics. According to some players, there were some performance issues, such as stuttering and freezing; however, overall reception was good. This reception led to Gamescom’s announcement of the Fate Trigger early access release in early 2026.

Early Access in 2026

Yesterday, Saroasis announced the release of Fate Trigger early access for Q1 in 2026. Saroasis released a new gameplay trailer at Gamescom that showcases new modes of the game, new playable characters, and its availability on other platforms. The trailer showcases many of the playable characters you can collect, coupled with an epic soundtrack, and I must say, it is indeed epic. This game seems to combine FPS-style combat with what seems like magic as special skills, which is a pretty interesting concept. If we know anything about anime girls with guns, it’s that there is definitely an audience for it.

Fate Trigger is an anime-style FPS shooter game that builds on battle royale and hero shooter mechanics; however, it is centered around team building and team gameplay. Just like Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact, it is considered a gacha game, where you can purchase in-game items for upgrades for your characters and your team. Along with the trailer, the game will also include a PvP mode and an online ranking system similar to Marvel Rivals. Though Fate Trigger may draw inspiration from many different games, it is enjoyable and highly addictive to play. It’s a high-octane FPS game with an array of characters and weapons to choose from, so don’t miss out on early access coming next year.
