Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4: Shock ‘N Awesome – Bug Invasion, Mythics & POI Mayhem

The Hive 

The Hive is a menace wrapped in a goldmine. The first time you land here, you’ll think, “Oh, nice loot spread!” That’s until a horde of hyper-aggressive bugs decides, nah, your loadout is their loadout. Defeat the Queen, though, and snag the Surge Medallion. Not only does this medallion increase your speed, but it’s what you’ll need for those quick getaways (or chasing fleeing enemies).

Pro Tip: Grab a gun immediately on landing, or the bugs will swarm you like you just stole their honey. 

Swarmy Stash 

Planning to drop here? I hope you like chaos because this is bug central. The redeeming factor? The random shield boosts from the glowing swamp water and Slurp Trucks scattered across the area. Translation? It’s a solid spot to restock shields after a heated fight, but don’t expect to last long without backup. 

Big shields? Check. Too many players fighting over them? Also check. Good luck! 

Ranger’s Ruin 

This is where the big loot and big risk collide. Ranger’s Ruin is your go-to if you want to grab high-tier loot fast—but clearing out the hive isn’t solo-friendly unless you’re some Fortnite god. Defeat the hive here to grab the Carapace Medallion, a game-changer for keeping that shield clock ticking after every elimination. 

Pro tip? Bring your squad. Like, all of them. And maybe some snacks. This is going to be a grind. 

O.X.R. HQ 

The O.X.R. HQ might just be my favorite. Why? Two reasons: high-tier loot and plenty of NPCs who’ll heal you or provide a handy rift for those “get-me-out-of-here-right-now” moments. If you’re in Zero Build Mode (aka Fortnite on hard mode), the multiple rooms and covers here make this place a dream for tactical players. 

But be warned, this is a hot drop spot. If you dislike landing alongside half the lobby, best to avoid this death trap. 

Medallions & Mythics – What You Should Know 

This season isn’t just about survival; it’s about earning those Medallions. From shield regeneration to faster escapes, the unique perks these bad boys pack should be motivation enough to face (and defeat) the insect armies. And the cherry on top? A mix of bug-themed mythic weapons that absolutely slap in combat. Who doesn’t want a weapon called the Leadspitter 3000? Answer: nobody. 

Is the Chaos Worth It? 

Oh, absolutely. Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 4 didn’t come here to play safe, and the mix of PvE chaos and PvP insanity ensures no match feels the same. Sure, there are lots of bugs to squash (literally), but this is going to be another adrenaline rush brought to you by the fortnite team! So,  this season is already shaping up to be a fan favorite.

Fortnite thrives on shaking up its formula, and Chapter 6, Season 4 is being audacious in their changes and the experience is going to be wild! Whether you’re here for the glory, the loot, or just to meme with your squad, this season’s got something for everyone.
