With the global launch of Forza Horizon 6 now officially underway after releasing on May 19, players already have plenty to explore across Japan. From mountain touge racing and Time Attack events to showcase battles and hidden roads, Playground Games is already preparing the game’s first major live-service update with the arrival of Series 1: ‘Welcome to Japan.’
According to the official Forza X account, the Week 1 Summer playlist officially begins May 21 and includes the 1999 Toyota Altezza RS200 Z Edition and the 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR as the featured seasonal reward cars.
Content creator EricShip111 also shared additional details about the full Series 1 roadmap beyond what was shown in the official Forza post.
According to EricShip111, Series 1 ‘Welcome to Japan’ will run from May 21 through June 18 and feature 10 reward cars spread across the Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring seasonal rotations alongside monthly milestone rewards.
Players only need to unlock their first wristband to access the Festival Playlist, something that should take roughly an hour for most players based on early gameplay progression.
With Series 1 now set to roll out across Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring, Playground Games appears to be leaning heavily into Japanese car culture early in Horizon 6’s lifecycle while also expanding how players earn exclusive vehicles through the evolving Festival Playlist system.
