Genshin Impact: Chasca build and materials guide
HoYoverse

End all disputes with the best Genshin Impact Chasca build and become The Peacemaker. A 5-Star Anemo character, Chasca can directly infuse her own attacks with the elemental powers of her party members, creating immense destructive potential.

Her Elemental Skill, Spirit Reins, Shadow Hunt, deals Anemo DMG in an area of effect and starts the Nightsoul’s Blessing state, providing Chasca with Nightsoul Points. In her Nightsoul’s Blessing state, Chasca continuously consumes Nightsoul Points to ride on her Ritual Staff – this increases her movement speed and interruption resistance as well as allowing her to fly.

Mounted on Soulsniper: Ritual Staff, Chasca has new attack modes at her disposal: Pressing attack deals Anemo DMG to enemies in front of Chasca, counting as Normal Attack DMG. You can also hold attack to aim and target specific enemies. While aiming, up to six Shadowhunt Shells are loaded into the rifle, which will be unleashed on the targeted enemies. They deal Anemo DMG and count as Charged Attacks.

More importantly, the fourth, fifth, and sixth shell will be converted from Anemo DMG to another element, based on the party composition. Cryo, Electro, Pyro, and Hydro characters are viable for this. Finally, holding the Skill when Chasca is already in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state will result in a special Plunging Attack.

HoYoverse

Her Elemental Burst, Soul Reaper’s Fatal Round, deals Anemo DMG in an area of effect and then splits up into six Shadowhunt Shells, two of which undergo elemental conversion.

Chasca’s Constellations, which can be obtained by pulling duplicates, further bolster her might. C1 and C2 increase the chance of stronger Shadowhunt Shells to be generated and boost their effectiveness. C4 buffs the impact of her Elemental Burst. C6 decreases the time it takes for all six Shadowhunt Shells to be loaded during her Skill.

Best Chasca weapons – Genshin Impact

Chasca’s signature bow, Astral Vulture's Crimson Plumage, comes with a CRIT DMG bonus and an effect that boosts the wielder’s ATK following a Swirl reaction. Chasca can trigger Swirl super reliably, making great use of that. Furthermore, this bow increases the Charged Attack DMG and Elemental Burst DMG dealt by the wielder in two stages when at least one or two party members are from a different elemental than the wielder. That’s the two damage types Chasca’s offensive output mainly depends on, so another great synergy effect.

Best weapons for Chasca in Genshin Impact:

  • Astral Vulture's Crimson Plumage (5-Star)
  • Hunter’s Path (5-Star)
  • The Great First Magic (5-Star)
  • Elegy for the End (5-Star)
  • Polar Star (5-Star)
  • Chain Breaker (4-Star)
  • Flower-Wreathed Feathers (4-Star)
  • Scion of the Blazing Sun (4-Star)
  • Ibis Piercer (4-Star)

Best Chasca artifacts – Genshin Impact

You can go two different routes with Chasca, depending on what you’d like to focus on. If you’re aiming for maximum direct damage, then a full set of Obsidian Codex will be the way to go – as a set made for Natlan DPS units, it provides unbeatable benefits to her.

However, a more reaction-based build would benefit more from Viridescent Venerer, the classic artifact set for Swirl builds. Its bonuses to Anemo and Swirl DMG as well as the Elemental RES shredding remain excellent. In this case, you’ll want to prioritize Elemental Mastery over ATK %.

You should get the following stat distribution on Chasca’s artifact set:

  • Flower: HP (main stat), CRIT DMG, CRIT Rate, ATK %, Elemental Mastery (secondary stats)
  • Plume: ATK (main stat), CRIT DMG, CRIT Rate, ATK %, Elemental Mastery (secondary stats)
  • Sands: ATK % or Elemental Mastery (main stat), CRIT DMG, CRIT Rate, ATK % or Elemental Mastery, Energy Recharge (secondary stats)
  • Goblet: ATK % or Elemental Mastery (main stat), CRIT DMG, CRIT Rate, ATK % or Elemental Mastery, Energy Recharge (secondary stats)
  • Circlet: CRIT DMG or CRIT Rate (main stat), CRIT DMG or CRIT Rate, ATK %, Elemental Mastery, Energy Recharge

Best Chasca teams – Genshin Impact

Chasca thrives in reaction-based teams with Cryo, Pyro, Electro, or Hydro characters and wants to be the team’s on-field damage dealer – she doesn’t have any off-field capabilities to offer.

  • Chasca (Main DPS), Furina (Sub DPS), Xiangling (Sub DPS), Bennett (Support)

Chasca is ultra versatile and you can pretty much play her in any constellation, as long as some sort of off-field support is given – she wants most of the field time herself. A team with Furina, Xiangling, and Bennett provides constant Vaporize reactions and various damage buffs without even considering the possibility of Chasca unleashing Vaporize by herself thanks to elemental conversion. Swap Furina with Fischl or Yae Miko for an Overload version of this team or put in Shenhe instead of Xiangling for the full Hydro-Cryo-Pyro range of reactions.

If you have her signature weapon, you should definitely favor teams that feature at least two other elements, like the one above. Otherwise, nothing prevents you from fielding any mono-elemental party from Cryo, Pyro, Electro, or Hydro, guaranteeing that Chasca deals the same damage and triggers Swirl from it.

Chasca ascension materials – Genshin Impact

You’ll want to quickly raise Chasca’s level when you finally pull her, which means that you’ll need to farm her ascension materials. You’ll also require some material to upgrade her talents.

Here’s what you need to get Chasca to level 90:

  • Vayuda Turquoise Sliver x1
  • Vayuda Turquoise Fragment x9
  • Vayuda Turquoise Chunk x9
  • Vayuda Turquoise Gemstone x6
  • Juvenile Fang x18
  • Seasoned Fang x30
  • Tyrant’s Fang x36
  • Withering Purpurbloom x168
  • Ensnaring Gaze x46
  • Mora x2,092,530

Vayuda Turquoise can be obtained from any Anemo-affiliated boss on the world map. Ensnaring Gaze is dropped by the Tenebrous Papilla, which may also drop Vayuda Turquoise, though that’s dependent on the form it takes on during combat, making it an unreliable source for the gems.

Fangs can be gained from defeating the saurians you encounter in Natlan. To find the Withering Purpurbloom you’ll need to explore the ruins of Ochkanatlan. The best way to earn more Mora in the game is to farm golden Ley Line Blossoms.

Here’s what you need to upgrade all of Chasca’s talents to their maximum level:

  • Juvenile Fang x18
  • Seasoned Fang x66
  • Tyrant’s Fang x93
  • Teachings of Conflict x9
  • Guide to Conflict x63
  • Philosophies of Conflict x114
  • Silken Feather x18
  • Crown of Insight x3
  • Mora x4,957,500

For the materials already mentioned, see above. You’ll need to visit the Blazing Ruins Domain on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday to farm Scrolls of Conflict. Silken Feather is available from the weekly boss fight with Arlecchino.

Crowns of Insight are a rare item gained from time-limited events or regional reward mechanics like the Grand Narukami Shrine in Inazuma, Tree of Dreams in Sumeru, Fountain of Lucine in Fontaine, and the Tablet of Tona in Natlan.

Veteran wideout announces retirement from NFL

Mohamed Sanu‘s playing days have officially come to an end. The veteran receiver announced on Friday that he has retired. “After 10+ years in the NFL, my playing chapter is closing,” Sanu wrote on X. “Grateful for every coach, teammate fan. Excited to give back through coaching share the game in a new way with the Facts Over Stats podcast. The Journey continues.” Mohamed Sanu hasn't played in years Sanu last played a regular-season game in 2021, and he very briefly spent time with the Dolphins the following summer. Given the time that has elapsed since Friday’s announcement, it is certainly an unexpected one. Nevertheless, it marks an end to the 36-year-old’s career as a player. Selected in the third round of the 2012 draft, Sanu played out his rookie contract with the Bengals. He established himself as a starting-caliber receiver during that period, a status that remained consistent throughout his Falcons tenure (2016-19). In the 2018 campaign, Sanu set a new personal mark with 838 receiving yards; that season also marked the only time one of his eight career pass attempts (four of which resulted in a touchdown) fell incomplete. After a midseason trade saw him finish the year with the Patriots, the Rutgers product split his time between the 49ers and Lions the following campaign. Sanu saw a downturn in usage and production during that span, and he remained a part-time contributor upon returning to San Francisco for 2021. After being released by the Dolphins in August 2022, no known visits took place, and no further playing opportunities presented themselves. Multiple years removed from his final playing action in the NFL, Sanu will now officially turn his attention to other pursuits. In all, he played 145 combined regular and postseason games and amassed nearly $32M in career earnings.

Former HC does not hold back on Cowboys' atrocious defense

The Dallas Cowboys have played about as poorly as they possibly can on defense through the first three weeks of the NFL season. One week after needing a pair of late field goals from kicker Brandon Aubrey to outlast the New York Giants, 40-37, in overtime, the Cowboys dropped their second game in three weeks on Sunday in a 31-14 loss to the Chicago Bears, showing no signs of improvement whatsoever. Rex Ryan blasts Cowboys defense Simply put, Dallas just looks lost on defense, leading to former head coach and current ESPN analyst Rex Ryan going off during Monday's edition of "Get Up." "Just when we thought it couldn't get worse, this defense comes up with even a worse performance," Ryan said. ... "You're so dumb. I can't stand it. Do something. I don't want to hear about you can't rush the passer. Then how about we send more players on the quarterback. We can't play zone coverage, then how about we play man coverage. You guys stink. Dumbsday defense." Dallas had no answers for the Bears and QB Caleb Williams on Sunday. After struggling to find a rhythm in the first two games, Williams was sensational, throwing for 298 yards and four TDs to pick up head coach Ben Johnson's first win in Chicago. As good as Williams was, though, the Cowboys defense certainly helped. Dallas (1-2) has given up 92 points through three games and is 28th in the league in opponent points per game (30.7 PPG), per TeamRankings. Something Ryan alluded to in his rant was Dallas' inability to stop Chicago on a 19-play, 76-yard drive in the third quarter that took 9:54 off the clock. It was a 24-14 game before then, and the Cowboys were picked off on each of their final three drives afterward to seal their fate. Quarterback Dak Prescott has been solid, accounting for 800 passing yards — fourth-most in the league — and three TDs. Before Sunday, he had only thrown one interception. The run game has also contributed four combined TDs between Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders, providing a much-needed balance. That has ultimately not mattered with the defense unable to get stops and limit drives from opposing teams. To make matters worse, star wideout CeeDee Lamb suffered a left ankle injury in the loss on Sunday, and it sounds like he could land on injured reserve, which would put him out of action for at least four games. That is the last thing Dallas needs right now. The team will likely be without its best player for an extended period of time, in addition to having an abysmal defense, which does not sound encouraging going forward for a franchise that always seems to be in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.

Steelers' Once Promising Third-Year Defender Could Be Relegated On The Depth Chart

The Pittsburgh Steelers have begun the 2025 NFL season with a 2-1 record, however there are some things that need to be figured out. The defense is shaky at best despite forcing five turnovers in Sunday's win over the New England Patriots in Week 3. The group still struggles to get off of the field on possession downs, and stopping the run has been an issue throughout the first three weeks of the season. A lot of that starts with the front seven and the interior defensive line. Pittsburgh has been banged up in that area, but some healthy contributors returning could shake up the lineup. Pittsburgh was able to see the regular season debut of Derrick Harmon on Sunday. The organization selected Harmon in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, but he suffered a sprained MCL in the preseason finale which kept him on the sidelines throughout the first two weeks of the regular season. He made an impact while serving in a limited role on Sunday against New England as he recorded a sack and two total tackles, and he is expected to help the run defense in the near future. Team insider Mark Kaboly spoke about the interior defensive line after the game on Sunday on the most recent episode of Kaboly + Mack, and he believes there will be two rookies starting in that area very soon. "They made some moves there, and it was able to help them out," Kaboly said. "That's a definite difference in what they were able to do. And I think it's just a matter of time until Yahya Black, Derrick Harmon and Cam Heyward's your one, two and three across the front. It's just a matter of time." Currently, Cam Heyward and Yahya Black are the starting defensive tackles for Pittsburgh while Keeanu Benton has been the starting nose tackle. That is the part of the lineup that will be shuffled, as Benton will likely switch to being a rotational piece, while Harmon enters the starting lineup. He will likely takeover the duties at defensive tackle, while Black shuffles to nose tackle. Benton was expected to take a leap forward going into his second season in 2024, but that didn't necessarily happen. He has made some big plays for Pittsburgh, but he has not been the consistent force that the organization had hoped he would be to this point. There was hope he would improve once again during the 2025 season, but if anything, the third-year pro has shown some regression since his rookie season. Moving to a rotational role where he can fill in at both defensive tackle and nose tackle might be best for Benton at this point. He doesn't necessarily have the size to be a true nose tackle in the NFL, so the coaching staff in Pittsburgh has seemingly been setting him up for failure a little bit in that regard. He would likely play better at defensive tackle, which is something the coaching staff could find out if the starting defensive line gets shuffled. Steelers Need To See Keeanu Benton Step Up No matter what role he is serving, Benton needs to play better moving forward. The interior defensive line is a key part of stopping the run, and Pittsburgh has struggled to do that. It is going to be hard to win meaningful games if that problem persists, especially against the better teams in the NFL that show up on the schedule later in the year. Benton needs to show some signs of progression, whether that be as a starter, or as someone who rotates in with the starting lineup throughout a game. Benton can still have a future in Pittsburgh, but he is going to need to improve in 2025 while setting himself up for success in 2026.

Exciting Jordan Addison Development Occurs Ahead of Vikings-Steelers

Exciting Jordan Addison Development Occurs Ahead of Vikings-Steelers

The Minnesota Vikings are fourth-worst in the NFL with 503 passing yards through three weeks, but they've been compromised. Wide receiver Jordan Addison was suspended for the first three games for violating the NFL's Substances of Abuse Policy. The 23-year-old was arrested on suspicion of DUI near Los Angeles International Airport in July 2024 and pleaded no contest to a "wet reckless" charge this past July, which is a misdemeanor offense. The Vikings drafted Addison No. 23 overall out of USC in 2023, and he was productive in his first two seasons. The 5-foot-11-inch, 175-pounder has career totals of 1,786 receiving yards on 133 catches with 19 touchdowns over 32 games. Addison is now done with his suspension, via NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "Suspensions are over for 49ers wide receiver Demarcus Robinson and Vikings WR Jordan Addison, who both served three games and are now back with their teams," he reported on Monday. Minnesota will now have its No. 2 receiver back moving forward. Superstar wideout Justin Jefferson leads the team with 12 catches and 200 yards, while the next receiving leader is fellow wideout Josh Nailor with 96 yards. Tight end T.J. Hockenson also has nine receptions for 76 yards. Addison has a better track record than Nailor, who has never topped 414 yards in a season since entering the league in 2022. On the other hand, Hockenson notched 95 catches, 960 yards, and five touchdowns in 2023, but he's a safety blanket underneath and over the middle. Addison can help take the top off of the defense alongside Jefferson, which should open up the Vikings' offense. Vikings Positioned for Success Against Steelers Not only is Minnesota getting Addison back for this Sunday's bout with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but it'll face a defense that ranks 23rd in the NFL with 25.7 points allowed per game. The Steelers did hold the New England Patriots' offense to 14 points in last Sunday's win, but they coughed up 32 points to the New York Jets in Week 1 and 31 to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2. Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy (ankle) is out, but veteran backup Carson Wentz showed he can still play in Sunday's 48-10 trouncing of the Cincinnati Bengals, completing 14 of 20 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns. They're now 2-1 ahead of their Week 4 matchup with the Steelers in Dublin, Ireland, and could go 3-1 if Addison picks up where he left off.
