Helldivers 2 Launches on Xbox August 26 With Legendary Halo Warbond

If you are a true patriot of Super Earth and wish to join the Helldivers 2 squad but lack the correct equipment to do so, then have no fear—because the government of Super Earth has answered your calls. What was previously a PlayStation and PC exclusive, Helldivers 2 is finally launching on Xbox Series X|S, and the date to mark on your calendar is August 26th.

A Legendary Warbond Worth Dropping For

There’s one more reason to be excited for this news: a new legendary warbond is dropping alongside the Xbox release. And it’s Halo-themed.

Yes, alongside the addition of Helldivers 2 to Xbox Series X|S, the release of the Halo ODST-inspired legendary warbond is making its way to all platforms. This marks the first legendary warbond to be released in Helldivers 2, and while Halo has always been a Microsoft exclusive, this warbond is available across all platforms—so no one within the managed democracy of Super Earth should be left out!

When and Where to Gear Up

The PlayStation Blog announced that the Helldivers 2 x Halo ODST legendary warbond will land on August 26th at 5:00 a.m. PT / 1:00 p.m. BST. So once again—mark those calendars and set your watches for the drop.

This warbond is packed with rewards and priced at 1500 Super Credits. And while Arrowhead notes that it’s a step up from previous warbond prices, the gear inside is worthy of the “legendary” title it’s been given.

Two armor sets
Three primary weapons
One pistol that Halo fans will instantly recognize

A Word of Caution for Super Citizens

Arrowhead has issued a heads-up: the legendary warbond will not be compatible with the new Premium Warbond Token launching on August 26th as part of the Super Citizen Edition. So make sure your Super Credits are locked in and ready to go if you want to grab this new content—as a true soldier should want to do.

Xbox x PlayStation: A Cross-Faction Alliance?

This collaboration between Helldivers 2 and Halo ODST signifies the growing relationship between PlayStation and Xbox (the government would be proud). Microsoft is releasing first-party exclusives on a rival console, while PlayStation is meeting that with Helldivers 2 and Black Myth: Wukong.
