OD-Knock is the newest game by Hideo Kojima, the mastermind behind Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding. Hideo Kojima’s development of this new title is an upcoming horror experience by Kojima Productions and in collaboration with Jordan Peele, a horror genius within the community. Kojima Productions just revealed new gameplay footage for the game during the Beyond the Strand Showcase, and here’s all you need to know about the game.

OD – A New Kojima Horror Experience

Overdose, or more commonly known as OD, is a new horror game from Kojima Productions. From the reveal trailer, OD-Knock, not much is known about the game. The main character, played by Sophia Lillis, walks through an empty apartment and ends up in a desecrated room trying to light candles. It’s an intense and creepy atmosphere as she is trying to light these candles; you hear knocking in the background, a door opening, and then a tall and dark figure stalks behind her and grabs her head with large and pale hands.

It was creepy af, and gave me chills while watching. It isn’t that much of a surprise, given that Hideo Kojima and Jordan Peele, two vastly different horror styles, but scary as hell nonetheless, are responsible for this bombshell of a trailer. And with the trailer, Kojima Productions has released new gameplay footage.

The P.T. We Never Got

The OD-Knock new trailer is pretty scary. Like I said, I got chills watching it. Some people are even calling it the P.T. we never got, and if you don’t know what P.T. is, it’s an interactive trailer for the cancelled Silent Hill game, Silent Hills, which was also directed by Hideo Kojima. The trailer has captivated fans of Kojima and has now gained a new fan demographic with the introduction of Jordan Peele as a writer and collaborator of the game. The game has made headlines with this gameplay reveal trailer, and I personally cannot wait to see more previews of the game going forward.
