Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 banners – The Herta and Aglaea debut
HoYoverse

HoYoverse has revealed the Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 banners, showing players which characters they can pull during the first version of the game after the arrival on Amphoreus.

HSR 3.0 brings two brand-new characters to the table: The Herta and Aglaea, the latter being the first limited Remembrance characters after the Path’s introduction to the playable roster. For any players looking to fill holes in their line-up, HoYoverse has prepared two triple rerun banners with some extremely powerful units as well.

Find the Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 character banners as well as the available Light Cones below.

Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 banners: Phase 1

Starting on January 15, 2025, with HSR 3.0’s release, you’ll be able to call upon the following characters:

  • The Herta (5-Star, Erudition, Ice), Natasha (4-Star, Abundance, Physical), Asta (4-Star, Harmony, Fire), Moze (4-Star, Hunt, Lightning)
  • Jade (5-Star, Erudition, Quantum), Feixiao (5-Star, Hunt, Wind), Lingsha (5-Star, Abundance, Fire), Natasha (4-Star, Abundance, Physical), Asta (4-Star, Harmony, Fire), Moze (4-Star, Hunt, Lightning)
  • Into the Unreachable Veil (5-Star, Erudition) and three 4-Star Light Cones.
  • Yet Hope Is Priceless (5-Star, Erudition), I Venture Forth to Hunt (5-Star, Hunt), Scent Alone Stays True (5-Star, Abundance), and three 4-Star Light Cones.

The Herta

HoYoverse

The Herta is the creator behind the puppets we’ve interacted with as Herta until now. A member of the illustrious and dangerous Genius Society, she’s a strong damage dealer with attacks that hit several targets at once, though without the follow-up twist of her puppets. Instead, The Herta can stack certain effects on enemies to multiply her damage as the battle progresses and shift priorities to high-value targets, dealing more damage to such enemies as the field slims.

Jade

HoYoverse

Jade is an interesting hybrid character, as she provides the wave-clearing abilities typical for the followers of The Erudition, but comes with a few support boons as well, such as increasing the SPD of an ally and making follow-up attacks to assist them – though everything comes at a price with her: In order to fully use her abilities, she consumes the HP of allied characters.

Feixiao

HoYoverse

Feixiao is a powerful attacker with the ability to break enemies regardless of their Weakness Type. In addition, she’s able to launch follow-up attacks in various situations, enabling her to pressure an enemy relentlessly. Her Ultimate is not dependent on Energy, making her more reliable against enemy types that can reduce the team’s Energy gauge.

Lingsha

HoYoverse

Lingsha can summon a familiar to the battlefield, which has its own spot in the turn order and will attack enemy targets with follow-up attacks. These moves not only deal damage, but heal every ally on the field as well as dispel one debuff from them – a powerful ability. In addition, Lingsha is helpful for Break teams thanks to a Break DMG buff included with her Ultimate. Do not be misled by her Path: She can deal enormous amounts of damage.

Natasha

HoYoverse

Natasha is the game’s basic healer, which means that she can carry you through early content with ease, but falls off quickly after that.

Asta

HoYoverse

Asta is a useful support character due to her offensive buffs for the team. She’s also fantastic at inflicting Weakness Break against enemies with Fire Weakness thanks to her attack dealing lots of instances of damage.

Moze

HoYoverse

Moze can designate an enemy target as his prey and then continuously harry this foe with his follow-up attacks, dealing additional damage when his allies focus on the same enemy.

Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 banners: Phase 2

Phase 2 will begin on February 5, 2025, and run for three weeks from that point on. You’ll be able to get the following characters in this time period:

  • Aglaea (5-Star, Remembrance, Lightning), Tingyun (4-Star, Harmony, Lightning), Hanya (4-Star, Harmony, Physical), Sushang (4-Star, Hunt, Physical)
  • Robin (5-Star, Harmony, Physical), Boothill (5-Star, Hunt, Physical), Silver Wolf (5-Star, Nihility, Quantum), Tingyun (4-Star, Harmony, Lightning), Hanya (4-Star, Harmony, Physical), Sushang (4-Star, Hunt, Physical)
  • Time Woven Into Gold (5-Star, Remembrance) and three 4-Star Light Cones.
  • Flowing Nightglow (5-Star, Harmony), Sailing Towards a Second Life (5-Star, Hunt), Incessant Rain (5-Star, Nihility), and three 4-Star Light Cones.

Aglaea

HoYoverse

Aglaea is the first limited character from the brand-new Path of The Remembrance. She can summon her Memosprite, Garmentmaker, to the battlefield and continuously heal it. Aglaea is able to perform Joint Attacks with her Memosprite and can benefit from its ability to gradually increase its SPD by inflicting a debuff on enemies.

Robin

HoYoverse

Robin specializes in supporting follow-up attacks, enhancing their damage greatly – she is one of the most powerful support characters in the game for this reason alone. On top of that, she can advance the entire team’s actions forward, allowing for a massive wave of attacks.

Boothill

HoYoverse

Boothill can force an enemy into a duel, taunting them and increasing the damage they receive from his attacks – on the other hand, Boothill also takes more damage from that enemy and less from everyone else. In a duel, Boothill locks onto a target until it’s destroyed and gets to use his Enhanced Attack. His Ultimate can also apply the Physical Weakness Type to an enemy, making it easier for him to break them.

Silver Wolf

HoYoverse

Silver Wolf is able to inflict additional Weakness Types on enemies, making it easier for her team to break them – though this ability has lost some of its value with many modern characters either bringing their own Weakness Type infliction or ignoring them altogether. She still excels as a unit with reliable debuffs, though, weakening the offensive and defensive capabilities of foes with her attacks.

Tingyun

HoYoverse

Tingyun is one of the most useful 4-Star supports in the game, a status she has maintained ever since version 1.0. Her main benefit is the ability to quickly charge up characters’ Ultimates and provide offensive buffs.

Hanya

HoYoverse

Hanya is a support character who can restore Skill Points for the team as well as enhance their attacks against single targets.

Sushang

HoYoverse

Sushang is a relentless attacker that concentrates on breaking and hunting down single targets. Though no match for 5-Star DPS characters, she can do a great job with the right support.

Version 3.0 will also make Trailblazer (Remembrance) available, though players won’t have to pull for this new form from the banners – as is tradition, they’ll be unlocked through gameplay.

Make sure to check for active Honkai: Star Rail codes to grab additional Stellar Jades for your pulls.

Bears make big decision amid concerning Caleb Williams reports

Second-year Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams and other starters were spectators for Chicago's preseason opener versus the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. While speaking with reporters on Wednesday, first-year Bears head coach Ben Johnson confirmed things will be different when his club hosts the Buffalo Bills for an exhibition matchup this coming Sunday evening. "Everyone's going to play," Johnson said, as shared by Courtney Cronin of ESPN. Johnson added that how many snaps Williams will take versus the Bills is "to be determined." The Bears will first host the Bills for a joint practice on Friday. Johnson came to this decision following multiple reports detailing the supposed struggles that Williams has endured throughout training camp. Most recently, Monday’s practice was allegedly "a low point for" Chicago's first-team offense and featured "Williams and receiver Rome Odunze both looking frustrated" after some failed connections. "I've been pretty consistent with the thought of reps, reps, reps are the most important thing to get [Williams] up to speed," Johnson explained. "And by the plan that we had a week ago, we were able to get him probably somewhere between 80 and 100 more reps than we would've been able to do had he played in the game. This week, it's a different schedule. Different length of time in terms of in between games and all that. And so, our plan right now is the guys that sat out last week, they will be playing this week." Those running the Bears hope that the hiring of Johnson, an advertised offensive guru, will help Williams become a top-tier quarterback after the 23-year-old won only five of 17 starts during his rookie season. However, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic is among those who have mentioned that Williams has been responsible for a noteworthy number of inaccurate passes this summer. "I think the trust that we've been talking about from the get-go, that's really where that comes into play," Johnson added about risking the health of his starters by playing them against Buffalo. "We haven't been here with this group as a coaching staff. That trust has been earning, and we've been developing that amongst each other. It's not a one-way street. It goes both ways. And so I think that's just another step in the progression, you know?" The Bears will wrap up the preseason with a game at the Kansas City Chiefs on Aug. 22. It's unclear if Williams or other Chicago starters will see any action that Friday night.

Commanders have major hang-up preventing them from paying Terry McLaurin what he's due

It’s been two weeks since Washington Commanders star wide receiver Terry McLaurin publicly revealed his trade request, and a resolution doesn’t appear to be in sight. Thanks to ESPN’s John Keim, we’re starting to get more insight into how the Commanders are approaching negotiations…and how they run counter to their star wide receiver’s financial desires. As we’ve assumed all along, the Commanders are wary of giving McLaurin a lucrative contract that would extend well into the player’s 30s. As Keim notes, the Commanders “rely heavily on analytics,” and those numbers aren’t particularly kind to receivers on the wrong side of 30. They may be onto something. Per ESPN Research, over the past five years, only three receivers 31 years or older have played at least 10 games and averaged 70-plus receiving yards per game (that number jumps to six players if you adjust for 60-plus receiving yards). Further, the team can simply point to the NFL landscape, as other teams are also clearly wary of paying aging wideouts. Among the 24 active wide receivers who are attached to the most guaranteed money, only Tyreek Hill was older than 30 when the deal was signed. McLaurin has continually pointed to his lack of mileage despite his age; he barely played during his first two years at Ohio State, meaning he may not have the same wear and tear as similar players his age. McLaurin is also naturally pointing to the stat sheet, as the receiver has continually produced despite uncertain QB play, uncertain ownership and a handful of different coaching staffs. Per Keim, the Commanders don’t want to pay McLaurin based on his past performance, with the front office preferring to shape any future contracts based on his projections for age-31-plus seasons. The organization also doesn’t want to set a new precedent by paying McLaurin, as it could convince future veterans to push for lucrative deals in their 30s. While McLaurin has taken the drastic measure of requesting a trade out of Washington, the organization is still convinced they have leverage in this showdown. After all, the player is still under contract for the 2025 campaign, meaning McLaurin will have to forfeit game checks if he sits out games. The team could even choose to slap him with the franchise tag next offseason (which could come in north of $30M), meaning they’re in full control of the player’s fate moving forward. The team is also skeptical that another suitor is going to willingly pay McLaurin the type of money he’s seeking. Per Keim, there are doubts around the league about whether another team would be willing to meet the receiver’s demands. Even if a clear suitor does emerge, Keim makes it clear that Washington’s front office won’t give the star away without receiving a haul. We heard recently that McLaurin wasn’t necessarily seeking a deal that matched fellow 2019 draftee D.K. Metcalf‘s deal with the Steelers. However, Keim says Metcalf’s contract has generally served as a guide for McLaurin, but it’s uncertain whether the Commanders wideout is looking to match the AAV ($33M) or total guarantees ($60M). Ultimately, one source believes the Commanders may agree to pay McLaurin a contract that will pay $28M per year. Of course, it’s uncertain if the player would even accept that offer. If that hypothetical maximum offer doesn’t end in a signing, a divorce may be the logical next step.

Steelers' Mike Tomlin Announces Controversial Plans Regarding Playing Time In Week 2 Of The Preseason

Steelers' Mike Tomlin Announces Controversial Plans Regarding Playing Time In Week 2 Of The Preseason

The Pittsburgh Steelers are gearing up for their second preseason matchup of the 2025 season as they prepare to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday. The team will be participating in a joint practice with the Bucs on Thursday, which will provide some extra work and an additional look for the coaching staff as the players will take on external competition. This provides an opportunity for both sides of the ball to take a meaningful step forward in their progression towards being ready for the regular season, and fans will also get a better idea of what the team might look like come Week 1. Fans are going to have to rely on reports from the joint practice on Thursday to see what the starters look like against external competition, as Head Coach Mike Tomlin is approaching the second preseason game in the same manner as he did the first game. Most starters will be held out, including players like Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Jaylen Warren, both of the top tight ends, and nearly all of the defensive stars. He announced this while speaking to the media ahead of the team's joint practice. "In terms of anticipated play time, I'm going to play this preseason game very much like we did the first one," Tomlin said. "In terms of participation, the same collection of guys that were held out last time will comprise the guys that are held out this time. Those include Aaron Rodgers and DK Metcalf, Jaylen Warren, the two tight ends, Muth [Pat Freiermuth] and Jonnu [Smith], Isaac Seumalo on the offensive line. On the defensive side, the three edge guys, TJ [Watt], Highsmith, maybe I'll let [Nick] Herbig play a little bit. Depends on the quality of work he gets today. Cam [Heyward] won't play, Pat Queen won't play. Those core secondary guys that were held out last time, I'm holding out this time." A lot of fans want to see some of the starters play, but that won't be the case in the second preseason game. There are a lot of new pieces on the offensive side of the ball, so it might be a good idea to get those starters out there to get some game experience. Tomlin however, seems to want to hold off on that, as he's insisted he's been pleased with their work thus far in training camp (along with believing the joint practice will also help with regular season preparation). Many people have spoken out about how they want to see Rodgers take some snaps during the preseason. This includes former Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who recently stated that he believes it would be smart to get Rodgers on the field to get more familiar with the offensive system and the weapons around him. This thought process holds true for many fans as well, but Rodgers also pointed out that the work he will get during the joint practice with Tampa Bay is arguably more important than suiting up in the preseason. This is a fair point, considering the joint practice will mostly be simulating in-game situations against players the team doesn't typically see in practice. It will be interesting to see what the approach is in Week 3 of the preseason, as many people want to see some of the starters for Pittsburgh. Steelers Fans Could See Aaron Rodgers In Week 3 Of The Preseason Tomlin did not rule out the idea of some starters suiting up in Week 3 of the preseason against the Carolina Panthers. It would be good to see the new quarterback on the field for at least a possession or two with his new weapons, especially that close to the start of the regular season. As a 41-year old, it is obvious why the team might be hesitant to put him on the field for a meaningless game, but a preseason environment would also give the quarterback some great experience within the offense. Do you want to see Rodgers on the field at all during the preseason?

Khalil Mack gives glowing review of Chargers' rookie offensive weapon

The Los Angeles Chargers have looked every bit like a quality team from top to bottom in their start to the preseason. The team has had impressive showings against the Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints, which resulted in wins. Preseason is the time when teams get a glimpse of their younger talent, and the Chargers will be leaning on youth in the 2025 season. On Wednesday, star linebacker Khalil Mack was asked about rookie running back Omarion Hampton. Mack's comments should have every Chargers fan jumping for joy. "I don’t want to say how he’s impressed me, but I can tell. If you play football, then you know. It’s going to be fun to watch him play," said Mack. The Chargers could be leaning on Hampton a lot more than they originally hoped in his rookie season. Star offseason acquisition Najee Harris is still feeling the effects of a freak eye injury he suffered in July. However, Hampton understands the mission at hand. No one enters the NFL wanting to be a backup. Especially a first-round pick. When fully healthy, this Chargers backfield could be one of the most dangerous in the league. Now, with a veteran like Mack saying how special Hampton can be, in the words of Michael Jordan, the ceiling is the roof for this unit.
