Honkai: Star Rail: Anaxa, the Dark Side of Erudition

Anaxa can implant Weaknesses in 2 ways.  His Talent allows him to implant a single Weakness every time his Skill hits any enemy.  His Skill can hit 5 times, so he can implant 5 Weaknesses with each cast.

Anaxa Ultimate allows him to put a debuff on enemies that gives them all 7 Weaknesses.  This is its own separate debuff, and each Weakness he implants is also its own debuff.  That means that, assuming that implanting a Weakness that the enemy already has doesn’t produce a debuff, Anaxa can, theoretically, have six debuffs on a single character (7 if you have his personal Light Cone).

When an enemy has five or more Weaknesses, if Anaxas hits them with his Basic Attack, he can use his Skill for free.  This makes him highly SP-friendly.

What To Build on Anaxa

CRIT Rate is Anaxa’s best friend.  ATK, SPD, and CRIT DMG are also Stats that he would appreciate.  His Energy Regeneration is pretty good, so you won’t need an ER Chain.

His personal Light Cone is the best option.  If you don’t have it, try either the Erudition Light Cone from The Herta Store (Eternal Calculus) or The Herta’s personal Light Cone (Into the Unreachable Veil).  The game gives you the perfect 4-Star option as part of the Anniversary Event (The Great Cosmic Enterprise).

The game suggests going for the Eagle of Twilight Line and Rutilant Arena sets.  Eagle can provide faster turn, so more debuffs and Arena buffs his Basic Attack and Skill, which he can use in tandem thanks to his Talent.  Other options are Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters, Izumo Gensei, and Takama Divine Realm.

Who in Honkai: Star Rail Does Anaxa Synergies With

Other Erudition units. Does it really matter which?  One of his Trace Abilities gives the ENTIRE team 50% increased DMG if there are 2 Erudition units in the team.  For specific characters, The Herta, Jade, Argenti, Herta (4-Star), and Dr. Ratio are all excellent options.
