Invisible Woman Makes A Fantastic Debut in Marvel Rivals

Invisible Woman is unique among the support class due to her flexibility. Currently, Sue sits at 4 stars on Marvel Rivals’ difficulty rating. She’s not easy to get into, but by understanding her kit, you can have fun. Sue is tailor-made for support players looking for a clean balance between damage and healing.

Sue can erect shields to heal allies and pressure enemies from a distance with forcefield attacks. Her primary fire is also distinct, making it tricky to attack her or her allies. So far, not many Support characters can manage this fun balance. Cloak and Dagger are the only characters fitting this definition due to their unique switch-up mechanic.

Attacks:

• Orb Projection: This is Sue’s primary fire, which unleashes ranged forcefield projectiles to pierce heroes. The projectiles fly a maximum distance before returning to Invisible Woman. The interesting thing about these projectiles is that they work on both allies and enemies. Enemies caught in the range of fire will be damaged, while allies will be healed.

Abilities:

• Psionic Vortex: Psionic Vortex is Sue’s first ability, generating a blast of psionic energy. The blast erupts upon hitting an enemy player or target area or pressing the key again. This psionic vortex continuously draws enemies into its center while damaging them. This ability can help Sue create long-ranged pressure for enemies hoping to get too close.
• Force Physics: Force Physics is Sue’s second ability and has two factors. When activated, it creates a psychic blast to push or pull enemies within range. Players can use Force Physics to push divers out of their target zone or temporarily displace their positioning. The attack can also punish up-close enemies, allowing your tanks to dismantle the target.
• Agile Strike: Agile Strike is Sue’s melee attack. The player releases a three-hit combo, with the third hit launching enemies. You can use this to further disorient targets in your range.
• Veiled Step: Veiled Step helps Sue create distance, giving her an extra boost in the air. When Sue jumps a second time, she’ll form a force field at her feet. Stepping on it automatically propels her into the Invisible State. Veiled Step can be used as a getaway in case things get too rough, or it can be used to reach higher ledges.
• Guardian Shield: Sue’s last ability is Guardian Shield, which generates a force shield in front of a selected ally. The shield blocks damage while providing healing over time to nearby allies. Enemies who pass through the shield are slowed, which makes them easy targets for your teammates. Guardian Shield is a stand-out ability for Sue and can pair well with ranged characters or Vanguards.
• Invisible Boundary (Ultimate): Sue’s ultimate ability, Invisible Boundary, makes her average tricks seem like magic. Invisible Boundary manifests an unseen ring-shaped force field within an area. Allies inside the field are undetectable from enemies and gain healing over time. Enemies that pass through the field are slowed.

Team-Up Abilities:

• Fantasti-Force: Fantasti-Force is a team-up ability shared between Invisible Woman and Mr. Fantastic. Invisible Woman uses her psionic powers to fortify Reed’s defenses. This grants him damage resistance in the form of continuously generating bonus health.

Passive Ability:

• Covert Advance: Invisible Woman’s passive is Covert Advance, which lets her enter invisibility after disengaging from combat. While invisible, Invisible Woman is granted healing over time. Covert Advance gives Invisible Woman more survivability, especially when avoiding relentless enemies.

Well-Designed and Worth The Fun:

I never really gravitated to Invisible Woman, to be honest. I felt even with the addition of her barrier-making abilities, Sue was dull. There was nothing about her personality or her powers that seemed fun. I have never been more glad to be proven wrong because Marvel Rivals has managed to do so in an entertaining way.

Invisible Woman’s Fantasy is performed so excellently in Marvel Rivals. I anticipate seeing how future characters like Human Torch and The Thing are applied to the game. If you want to learn about Invisible Woman, you should pick her up. Despite being a support, she can still lay down damaging attacks. Her ultimate ability is also a spectacle to behold when unleashed. Invisible Woman’s see-through talents and clear purpose make her a strong pick this season.
