BRION and Dplus fell 3-2 in their first LCK Play-Ins series. They now battle each other to keep their season alive. The winner will face NS in the decider match, while the loser will start their holiday early. BRO has been DK’s kryptonite during Rounds 3-5 of the regular season. Will DK regain LCK Cup form, or is it the rise of the BROs?
With the game being on a Saturday, the start times have changed for the series. The match starts at 11:00 PM PT (8:00 AM CET, September 5th). One Rise Group team will advance after this battle.
BRO and DK have faced off against each other six times this season in the LCK. The teams are even in the series score with three wins each. The game score is tied between the two teams with a 7-7 record. It will be the final series the two play against each other, and it will decide who gets the advantage in the head-to-head.
DK played better during Rounds 3-5 despite losing twice to BRO. They come into the series after losing 3-2 to their Round 1 opponents. BRO almost pulled off a reserve sweep, while DK traded games with BFX.
The synergy between both teams’ Jungle Support has been shaky all year. The times these two have dominated games are when they connect to make plays throughout the map. The disconnection has led to both Pollu and Beryl dying in unnecessary positions. Whichever duo can find the synergy in this series should give them the upper hand.
In the first two series of the second half of the regular season, BRO came out victorious. DK managed to turn that around in the final match. They defeated BRO 2-0 to tie up the 2025 head-to-head between the two teams. Whoever emerges victorious from this series will have bragging rights and eliminate their opponent from the Play-Ins. If the Rise Group is anything to go by, considering any past results between the two is fool’s play.
BRO 3-2 DK
Predicting the exact outcome of this series is a tremendous task. Both teams have flaws that could lead to them losing 3-0. However, it is unlikely that either will fall that dramatically. These two teams should go the distance and will leave one game to decide the head-to-head between the two teams. DK has steadily been on a downward slope all year, and given their inability to fix existing issues, BRO will be the victor. DK’s draft mistake in game five against BFX is still living in our heads. They have not had much time to fix those issues, unless they come in with some tricks up their sleeve that we have not seen yet.
The loser of this series will see their 2025 season end early and dash their hopes for World Championship qualification. The winner moves on to the final Play-In Bo5 to qualify for the LCK Playoffs. BRO searches for a chance of revenge against NS, while DK must prove they can still be a contender in the LCK.
