GenG began the LCK Playoffs Grand Final with a dominant victory. Ruler and Chovy, with Kiin as their frontline, carried them to a game one win. HLE’s solo laners will need to bounce back to give them a chance. HLE performed better overall in the second game. Viper was the standout player. However, despite their effort, Ruler stepped up to carry GenG across the line in the final fight of the game.

LCK 2025: Chovy Faces Another Akali

Yesterday, Bdd locked in Akali against Chovy’s Taliyah. HLE has done the same today, giving Zeka Akali. While Bdd is a better mid laner than Zeka, he has never matched Zeka’s Akali. The two champions on which Zeka made his name during the DRX 2022 World Championship miracle run were Akali and Sylas. Will we witness 2022 Zeka Akali to even out the series?

HLE Composition

  • Zeus – Rumble
  • Peanut – Trundle
  • Zeka – Akali
  • Viper – Yunara
  • Delight – Leona

GenG Composition

  • Kiin – Gwen
  • Canyon – Xin Zhao
  • Chovy – Taliyah
  • Ruler – Kai’Sa
  • Duro – Rakan

LCK 2025: Zeus’ Struggles Continue

We have seen plenty of games where top laners, especially Zeus, have died multiple times in the early game. However, many of his deaths are attributed to his mistakes. He could have avoided all of the deaths. The Rumble being behind could become a problem for HLE, as they lack consistent AP damage with Zeka being on Akali. How will Zeus recover to help HLE win the second game of the series?

LCK 2025: Ruler is the Hero and Villain

Ruler was a pivotal part in the fights for GenG. His mistakes led to GenG’s losses, while in the rest, he contributed to helping them achieve victory. However, HLE forced Ruler to make the majority of his mistakes. Delight and Peanut combined to punish Ruler’s positioning errors. When it came to the pivotal fight, Ruler stood tall to carry GenG to victory and move one game away from lifting the LCK trophy.

HLE Must Reverse Sweep

During the previous Bo5 meeting between these two teams, GenG pulled off a reverse sweep to advance to the MSI. HLE must rewrite the same script but in their favor to win the LCK Grand Finals. They had moments in this game to come out as the victor, but one clutch GenG fight meant they are down 0-2. Does HLE have anything up their sleeves to restore momentum?
